Winter boots <sobs>. Need help <sobs harder>

Please 🙏

I just can't seem to find winter boots which I like and which aren't uncomfortable.

And I like winter boots <bottom lip quivers>

Got a pair of chealseas, which I have to rip off. I got some underlay thing which was recommended, which helps a bit, but they still hurt.

Got some high heeled dms, which I love. They cripple me.

For the love off all things holy.... I just want boots that don't hurt to wear or walk in around the office.
Size 7
Long legs (because short friends say they won't wear ankle boots because it shortens them. Not a problem for me. Love an ankle boot)

I just want comfortable! Black.

Is that a big ask?
P.s. round toe! It seems I am a bit picky after all

Carl Scarpa.

DM Virginia Pascal - no breaking in required.

soupfiend · 28/09/2024 17:26

Birkenstock boots, not cheap though

ladyditaverner · 28/09/2024 17:28

I got a pair of Lanx last year and they hurt so much they make me cry, but they look lovely. I need to persevere with breaking them in this year but they're crippling. I'm on year four of my trusty dune black lace up ankle boosters which are so comfy but they are looking a bit worse for wear now.

Pasquale DMs - that soft leather makes ALL the difference

This. I have three pairs, they're sooooooo comfy.

Funnywonder · 28/09/2024 19:54

I have never owned a pair of Fly London's that weren't incredibly comfortable straight out of the box.

AubreysMonkey · 29/09/2024 06:59

I wear these every day to work; they are the only boots that don't trigger my plantar fasciitis. I've tried SO many others - way more expensive - I've given up even trying now and just buy these each year now!

Lanx, so comfortable and properly crafted. Go up 1/2 a size at least so you can wear thick socks

InfoSecInTheCity · 29/09/2024 07:16

I just bought a pair of these from Heavenly Feet. www.shoezone.com/Products/Heavenly-Feet-Nomad-Womens-Black-Calf-Boot-18819

Every single pair I tried on from this brand were incredibly comfortable I went for these ones to wear with Jersey dresses and leggings through the colder months, they are quite heavy and very stompy which is what I was looking for, but they have lighter designs if you would prefer.

happyharpy78 · 29/09/2024 07:25

Totally get the feet struggle! Every year I attempt to find some comfortable ankle boots. Tried DMs last year - oh the pain!
This year I have high hopes for these.

Moshulu I buy Taylor style. Comfy ankle boots with a block heel

Ineffable23 · 29/09/2024 08:03

Try Josef Seibel. Mine have lasted a decade so far and they appear to somehow still only be £120 on their website which I am sure hasn't gone up with inflation. Mine are even goretex lined.

unsync · 29/09/2024 08:48

Birkenstock boots. I never want to take mine off.

JustJazzy · 29/09/2024 09:35

Soft leather dr martens(there is a few different styles) are lovely and need no breaking in, the fur lined ones are great too and comfortable straight away. The wintergrip range have anti slip soles which are great for icy/snowy days.

Solovair are so comfortable, and the Solovair leather insoles are lovely, i use them in my grenson and dms for extra comfort.

Grenson Nanette extremely lightweight and comfortable, I put my leather Solovair insoles into them as mine are a little too big, I'm a 5.5/6 (6 in converse and adidas) but think the 5.5 would of been better in these but the insole makes them fit perfectly.

Crazyeight · 29/09/2024 12:31

I'm find it staggering that the majority of winter boots sold aren't waterproof and it's really hard to find ones that are smartish for work (not country style), warm and waterproof.

These! I went to John Lewis last week and tried 6 pairs of almost identical looking boots. Once I'd tried Siebel there was no doubt!
