The return of boho?! How do you feel?

Hadley Freeman writes in today’s Times that boho is back. She advises those of us who have been there before to keep it to a minimum. Given that we’ve all been told of late that a capsule wardrobe of elegantly toning neutrals is what we should all be aspiring to, are we ready to go boho?!

As for me, I’ll be giving boho a big swerve. I think you need to be young and wrinkle-free. I’d just look like a crazy old lady I think!

So - who will be ditching their blazer/tshirt jeans and embracing flowing skirts, chandelier earrings, faux fur etc? Anyone?!

I'll be joining in, although I have been for the last thirty odd years anyway. Patchouli oil for everyone! 😊

I'm up for abit of boho. Only abit though!
I have a few skirts and dresses that could Def be called boho but I'm not a fan of peasant blouses or floppy hats.

No no no. Didn't like it the first time round, don't like it now. I need structure!

If you like, suit and feel comfortable in boho you are probably a Romantic style type. I don't mind the look but it wouldn't suit me as more of a Natural/Classic.

I love Boho style & I've never stopped wearing it. Mainly in the summer & now largely Free People style Boho not the Chloe type frills.

As long as wearing dresses over jeans doesn't come back, I'm happy with it!

Boho always makes me think of Alexis Rose in Schitt's Creek. She looks lovely.
I will not be wearing it as I think its milkmaidish aspects unbecoming to me at 70.
On the other hand - Hadley Freeman - has she ever written a column not extolling the blazer?

I've worn boho all my life and I'm 62 now. I might be able to buy some new pieces now it's back in fashion.

First time around? Haha it's been many times and for some has never left 😂

Love boho

Snotfair1 · 10/09/2024 01:26

Maybe I’ll get a nice jacket with just a small amount of boho touches like some embroidery as I haven’t aged as well as Sienna. M&S sometimes do nice boxy ones. But to be worn with trousers at work or jeans on the weekend. Definitely no skirts.

PinkArt · 10/09/2024 01:45

I'm tall with big boobs and same. Ethereal, wafty fashions just don't work with the boobs!

This came back last yr, normally takes a while to filter down & it may not.
