Looking for something to wear with my mum uniform staples or jeans/leggings and jumpers for the winter? Fed up with wet feet!

Not keen on Doc Martins - don't feel I can pull them off.

Anyone got any recommendations?

Anything good quality considered!

Lifestyle is rural but have plenty of boots for wearing round the horses etc, need something I can wear to toddler groups and for walking around town without having wet feed all winter.

I like a classic look, nothing too jazzy or trendy.

Do you want lined ones?

Sugarnspicenallthingsnaice · 07/09/2024 13:40

Merry People, so comfy and love the colours!

Thistooshallpass24 · 07/09/2024 13:41

There a brand I'm trying to remember, I saw them in an independent shoe shop and fell on love, I've seen it on here too but can't find it!
Ariat boots are great
Mountain warehouse have lots usually

piscofrisco · 07/09/2024 13:41

I've got some little welly material Chelsea boots from merry people. (Think that's what they were called-ozzy brand). The black ones look like normal Chelsea boots on. Lots of colours, very comfy.

Thistooshallpass24 · 07/09/2024 13:42

Merry people! That's the one!!! They are lovely!
Thank you @Sugarnspicenallthingsnaice for saving my sanity

I have rocket dog boots and they never leak, I mean I'm not jumping in puddles but in heavy rain etc. Otherwise if you want more Wellington style i saw these the other day

Thistooshallpass24 · 07/09/2024 13:47

I tried to link but failed :)

MyOtherCarisAVauxhallZafira · 07/09/2024 13:50

I have the Dekko rocket dog boots and they are comfy and dry even in really bad weather but it seems they also do a puddle boot which are fully waterproof like wellies

@Thistooshallpass24

Blundstone?

I don't have any but desire these

Heyha · 07/09/2024 19:49

I just wear paddock boots as 'normal people's boots. My kids wear jodhpur boots as winter shoes to school (though choice) as well though so perhaps we aren't typical 😂

But your Moretta/Brogini type of zip or lace up boot looks ok with most things and they are very practical too

shuffleofftobuffalo · 07/09/2024 19:52

Look for goretex lined boots, lots of brands do them now in the "normal" shoe ranges. If you look on Amazon there a lot of choice .

Thistooshallpass24 · 07/09/2024 20:05

@overgrowntoddler I was thinking of merry people
I do rate blundstone boots had chelsea style and lace up but sold mine (ankle surgery , the scars can't tolerate boots )

overgrowntoddler · 07/09/2024 20:26

@Thistooshallpass24

I should have read it properly! Sorry.

I think I might like some blundstones this year

Thistooshallpass24 · 07/09/2024 20:29

@overgrowntoddler Don't worry, I often have the wrong glasses on and miss info!
If you're not weirded out by second hand shoes, eBay can be good I also bought a (brand new) pair on Amazon for £63!

Le chameau

Thistooshallpass24 · 07/09/2024 20:46

I had le chameau for gardening and sideline standing they didn't last 18 months. Really disappointed with that

luckylavender · 07/09/2024 20:52

I wear Fly Chelsea boots, they're fab

How odd. I wonder if they've gone downhill? Mine are 12 years old and take a regular beating.

Thistooshallpass24 · 07/09/2024 21:04

@Bemusedandconfusedagain mine were bought about six years ago, my garden is small to medium and sideline standing was sporadic, they let water in via the sole on the right and where the sole meets the heel on the left side

Frosty1000 · 07/09/2024 21:17

I got some from dream pairs on Amazon - just black Chelsea boots for the school run and they are brilliant, very comfortable and waterproof.

They were a pleasant surprise at under £20 and no one can tell they're wellies type material. I wear them everywhere on wet days with jeans/leggings and they're perfect.

paristotokyo · 07/09/2024 21:22

Just bought some Ugg Ashton Chelsea boots and I think they look good, slightly chunky though which I like and very comfortable.

ZoChan · 07/09/2024 21:25

Doc marten do a lovely fur lined Chelsea boot, and a vegan Chelsea boot. Both super easy to wear in and get on/off
