Where are you getting tshirts these days?

All my tshirts have turned to rags over the winter and I didn't notice because I've only finally taken my jumpers off. I need a few in case the sun hangs around for a bit, but I can't find any I like. I want decent, heavy weight fabric thay hokds a shape. I'm short and boobed so an oversized crop can look good on me. I don't mind round or wide necks but v necks are very hit and miss and often a bit matronly on me. Puffy sleeves and flounces are out. I prefer plain colours to patterns but could do a logo or slogan.

I bought this and love it www.dunnesstores.com/p/gallery-denim-top/2561799

Why would you choose to wear something shapeless and ugly.

Unless, at a push, one of those fitted stretchy ones.

The arket boxy tshirts arrived today. They are mostly what I want, but still not right. The sleeves are a weird length so I'll have to do something with them but the fabric is nice and the blue is a gorgeous shade. I pulled on a tshirt i got for a charity thing (now in my gym gear drawer) over the weekend and realised it's perfect. Decent weight, slightly wider round neck, perfect length and vents on the side seams. I'll have to see if tee mill sells unprinted tshirts!

Oh I really like the slightly longer sleeve on these! I do tend to wear them on their own rather than as a layering tee. I think they would be annoying under a jumper or sweatshirt right enough.

I think it's because I'm short so they stop at the widest point of my boob line and just accentuate everything. They are a nice width though, so I'm going to put a little turn up on them, 2-3 hem lengths should do it and it's an easy fix. I've noticed a lot of tshirts with slightly longer sleeves recently.

The TikTok cool girlies all roll their t-shirt sleeves...!

I've gone with Next this year and got a few well fitting ones - I think one was a Pretty Little Things label. Not expensive and have kept their shape.

Not impressed with H and M - far too short in the body despite appearing full length and M and S had reverse vanity sizing - I'm a 12 and had to return a 14 as it was too tight.

HOWEVER, none have been immune to the little holes that appear at the bottom of the front. So bloody annoying

tobee · 19/08/2024 16:33

As an aside, why do Next t shirts sometimes have bubble hems? They sit funny on me and sort of make me look bulky (bulkier). Who do they suit?

Mynewnameis · 19/08/2024 16:37

These are good material and price. Loads of colours

I got a similar one from mint velvet, but that was more like £50.

I agree @tobee they're horrible. I had to keep pulling mine down as the elasticated bit kept riding up.

Uniqlo.

Heavy fabric, not very long and wash brilliantly. Size up though. I'm a 10/12 and have to get a large.

Loads of colours!

This, I won’t wear anything but Uniqlo for basic T-shirts now. Though I’m a 16 and wear a large as well 😁
