Trainers for short runs that look good

I'm going on holiday soon and want to pack light. I'm likely to want to do a few short (5kish) runs but also want some trainers for wearing with shorts/skirts etc. Any recommendations for a single pair that would meet both briefs?

I've got proper running trainers - ASICS - from when I was running longer distances but they're ugly.

I've got Vans which I wear for every day but can't run in them.

Thanks!

I’ve been a runner all my life and ultimately if your feet are relatively normal and you don’t have a weird gait, most half decent trainers will be fine for 3 miles. I’ve run many marathons but couldn’t tell you one thing about drop and toe box!

I actually think this is a great idea. I always take my regular running shoes on holiday but wear other ‘fashion’ trainers for sightseeing and it annoys me the usual running shoes take up half my suitcase. I like the look of the adidas ones.

Sorry for ignoring this thread, I thought it had died off. I ended up buying some aesthetically pleasing, inexpensive Nike running trainers. I liked the lululemon ones but they were a bit expensive.

I've been running for ages. Done all the gait analysis gumph at proper running shops and always get the same ASICS that work for my pretty unproblematic feet. They're just a bit ugly.

I am literally only planning 4 5k runs over the course of 2 weeks so I can't see me getting injured. And quite honestly if I do pick up an injury it won't be the end of the world. I'm not training for anything.

I also have ‘run many marathons’ but maybe my feet are fucked because I am very much tied to one style of shoe nowadays.
