Should I buy this skirt?

I saw this skirt today.
It's lovely in real life.
I have nothing to wear with it, can't really imagine what would look right.

The top on the model looks dreadful.
I have to have sleeves at least to the elbow....

Any ideas what would work or talk me out of buying it please !

My main concern is the fact that there isn't a single picture with the model standing like a normal person. Must look like a bag of spuds.

@IHaveNeverLivedintheCastle OK, I'll rephrase. I would feel overdressed, self conscious and "not me". And I would take the flashy dress off, put it back in the wardrobe, and wish I hadn't wasted my money on it, imagining my life was full of garden parties and glitzy events.

I'm sure you could find this second hand on ebay or Vestiarie or something. Or at least a close enough copy that you could see if it was a useful addition?

I agree its probably the idea more than the actual wearable value that it brings.

Wedding guest, day at the races, fancy dinner, works do, Christmas party, New Year’s Eve… so many options for where someone could wear this.

Pink goes nice with grey/silver, pale pink and plain. Or black.

If you can’t think what you’d wear with it, leave it in the shop.

I bought something similar from Whistles in 1998. It didn't go with anything and I regretted the purchase massively.
