Cycle shorts under dresses

Hello there. Please can you recommend some good cycle shorts to wear under dresses? I would like them to smooth me out a bit but I don’t want anything too restrictive as will be wearing them in Egypt in August and will be hot. Thank you

Big Bloomer company are my favourites!

I've been wondering whether to get some of these. I tried some from Snag and they were awful, cheap and nasty material and a really poor fit, so I've been put off trying anything else

Best ones I have had are actually.from ticktoc shop, no roll and the material is cool. They were £4 I think.

Thank you. Some of the reviews say they roll up. Did you have this problem?

These roll up your thighs and actually don’t offer any shaping or anti chafing…worst purchase ever.

Thank you

q the label on tiktok do cycling shorts in cotton, lovely material

Just an update as I’m here now. The m and s sleep shorts ride up all the time so they’ll be used for sleep 😂. Other m and s ones good but sweaty as hell so will be fine in future.

big bloomer company are the best I’ve tried. They are moisture wicking so actually keep you 1 degree cooler under a dress cycling shorts will be too warm.

Thank you. Will look at them.

I ordered a pair from Big Bloomer and I made the mistake of ordering the lace edged ones and I find them scratchy. I might try another pair without lace as apart from that they are nice and soft

Reporting back as promised. These are great. I sized up to XL as I definitely didn’t want tight or ‘shaping’,I wear 12-14 in clothes. They’re just brilliant. For background I’ve tried some Snag chub rub thingies, which seem to be basically cut down tights, nothing cooling about them and wouldn’t want them to be glimpsed under, say a short dress. I usually wear your basic Primarni black cycling shorts but as I said, needed nude for under the dress. I wear underwear with them,& they’re a little bit see through but nothing major, definitely not noticeable under dresses.I will be buying more as they do lots of colours,so much lighter and more comfortable than good ole cycling shorts

Ah that’s brilliant. Thank you for reporting back 🙂. Will get some.

I also got sloggi pants with a panel but didn’t think they were that good.
