Duo no wide fitting sandals. The Shoe Tailor nothing for the under 60s. Anywhere else?

Clarks, as always

PerkinWarbeck · 10/04/2008 14:50

dusting off the birkenstocks again

policywonk · 10/04/2008 14:51

Cara are quite good for wide feet. I am considering these in brown. They have sandals with lower heels as well.

DANCESwithaMuffinTop · 10/04/2008 14:53

Clarks? I often can't fit my feet in their shoes I'm looking for wedge type heels, I don't want flat but I can't do spindly heels.

hush puppies quite good also

DANCESwithaMuffinTop · 10/04/2008 14:56

I have some fantastic flat hush puppies but tried 'sizzle' on in Schuh the other day and they were too tight.

Not heard of Cara, I love those sandals you linked to PW but am trying to avoid black and brown as have flats in those colours.

Not really sandals but these are gorgeous imo

TigerFeet · 10/04/2008 15:02

Are these too flip-floppy?

TigerFeet · 10/04/2008 15:03

How about Evans? I got some fabulous wedgey sandals from there a couple of years ago

No1ErmaBombeckfan · 10/04/2008 15:03

Crocs!!

The more lurid the better...

DANCESwithaMuffinTop · 10/04/2008 15:04

Ah, I always forget about Evans. Yes, might try there too.

I like Crocs. I got some for DS2 last week and he looks just peachy in them.

DANCESwithaMuffinTop · 10/04/2008 15:06

Crocs for children are fine. No for adults though (unless gardening)!

Birkenstocks here too
Thos Cara ones are lovely, but DP is too short for me to wear heels.
Selfish Bastard.

No1ErmaBombeckfan · 10/04/2008 15:07

Okay for kids ...

My 95 yo gran has some and has been known to give them a proper polish at night...

TigerFeet · 10/04/2008 15:10

I have Asda cheapo crocalikes for gardening and beach trips. Wouldn't wear them in polite company though . They have some of those press in stud things too

3yo dd looks adorable in her shocking pink crocs

TigerFeet · 10/04/2008 15:16

Spotty

NaughtyNigel · 10/04/2008 15:19

birkies and crocs.

fleximum · 10/04/2008 15:20

Marks and Sparks or Landsend do wide fitting shoes. Can be a bit granny but you sometimes find good ones

Oblomov · 10/04/2008 15:25

I bought some great wedge sandals from New Look last year.
Threadworm And I had a competition last year to see who had the shortest, fatest, squarest feet, and I WON.
So, I know what I am talking about

TigerFeet · 10/04/2008 15:28

I bet I would beat you Oblomov

My feet are square

Forgot about New Look - their larger stores do wide fitting shoes now don't they?

I should be working and I have been browsing for shoes online for the last half hour

DANCESwithaMuffinTop · 10/04/2008 15:30

OOOOOOOOH, challenge set.

Right, am going to measure round the widest part of my foot. I will report back in a min...

OP posts:
DANCESwithaMuffinTop · 10/04/2008 15:32

23.5 cm with foot flat on the ground - if anyone interested, I measured foot with a tweenies stop clock cord and an old school ruler
