Buccal fate removal

Fat not fate

Maybe a weird one, but this is something I am interested in exploring and wondered if anyone here has had it?

I have quite a chubby face, and slim
body. I’d like more cheekbone definition and all the gua Sha and face yoga can’t fix it.

Any one?

Losing fat in your face surely means you will look haggard as you age.Dont mess with it, you will be glad later on.

JaneJeffer · 07/06/2024 22:23

Don't do it!

Peclet · 07/06/2024 22:33

Hmmm, interesting thoughts. I feel
like the chubby face will just droop but if u get rid of the chub there will be nothing to droop?

As you get older you will lose the fat. It's what makes people look young!

Femme2804 · 07/06/2024 23:08

How old are you Op?

as you getting older your chubby face will be gone. I used to hate my chubby face in my 20’s. Now i’m in early 40’s and much heavier un weight than i was 20 but my face is not chubby anymore. the fat in your face will be gone.

my friends do buccal fat removal when she was young and now she is 46 looks wayyyy older than she is. The skin its very shaggy. she really wish she wouldn’t do it.

so dont do it

Yep. You may have one of the face types that dies benefit from buccaneers fat removal. If you are young enough that the facial skin isn't left empty or loose then you are right, less facial fat to droop into jowls when you age.

Most people don't suit buccaneers fat removal because their faces are not 'chubby'. They just want gaunt cheekbones which can look great in the young but ages terribly.

doeeyedstan · 07/06/2024 23:22

Christie Teigen is about the only woman I have seen that benefitted from it and will probably continue to benefit as she ages as she went get jowls

I am almost 50. Am I too old?

I'd be very very wary. I am late 50s. I have fantastic skin. I'm not boasting. It's just a fact. I'm biracial and my skin is incredibly good. I have firmness and tightness usually seen in white women 15 years younger. I wouldn't do it. I can see the laxity and decreased bounce back of my skin. I have lost a little weight lately and I am saddened at the looseness of my skin. It's not sagging or crepey. It's just ...loose. Softer. Just not pulled back firmly. If you remove the buffalo fat at 50 I think you are very likely going to see the facial skin looks empty. In facial skin this will likely result in crepeiness (sp?) and skin jowls (as opposed to fat jowls).
Particularly post menopausal skin.

May I ask if you are carrying extra weight? You say your face is chubby. Is this solely your face or are you carrying excess body fat in general?

doeeyedstan · 08/06/2024 09:39

Buffalo fat 🤪

Rosejinkyb · 08/06/2024 10:36

This thread lol. Buccaneers and buffalo fat 🤣

Have you seen pics of celebs that have had this done? They look like they've been on heroin.

Pollipops1 · 08/06/2024 14:04

Don’t do it, your face will slim & look more elegant as you age. You are meant to be fuller faced in your youth.

She was stunning when younger, I don’t know what she did to her face to make it bigger as she got older, too much filler maybe?

JaneJeffer · 08/06/2024 14:16

Shame about her personality

What’s it got to do with buccaneers?😆

Yes there will be something to droop- saggy skin.I would never, ever have that procedure, it’s not necessary, and does not improve the face, quite the opposite in fact!

VeryStressedMum · 08/06/2024 15:13

Now that I am pushing 50 I would love some fat back in my face don't take it out!

perfectionistchaos · 08/06/2024 15:20

I was offered it by an NHS surgeon many years ago and refused it. That fat pad lies next to a really important facial nerve - if it goes wrong, it goes massively wrong. It's not worth the risk.

TreesWelliesKnees · 08/06/2024 15:29

I have considered this and I'm also late 40s. I've always had a wide face with big cheeks even though I'm slim. Some fat has definitely slid down a bit in the last few years and made the lower part of my face look wider, and some of the fat has disappeared. But I think removing it altogether would leave saggy skin. I'm just going to continue with my microcurrent device and keep a face-lift on the cards for my fifties. I know my aunt had her jowls removed, so that's an option for later, if necessary.

freakyoldhermit · 08/06/2024 15:35

I am 54, have always had a fat face, not lost any yet😀

An NHS surgeon offered to remove your buccal fat? Sheesh is that where the NHS spends its money now?

Rosejinkyb · 08/06/2024 16:49

I’ve got high cheekbobs
