Normally a no foundation person but I want to try some. Where is the best place to get a good match?

I am 56 and have started experimenting with bits of foundation and concealer. The ones I have at home are ok but not perfect. Either too pale or just not quite right. I believe I have a warm undertone but have no idea if I need a beige, peach, pink, yellow base etc.
I want to go somewhere where the SA are actually knowledgable and can tell me what tone/shade/undertone works for me.
When I look online and they ask you to look at photos and see which one matches you I honestly have no idea.
Thanks🙂

Get lots of samples to take home with you so you can decide on natural light. The lighting in stores is terrible for trying to get a good/perfect match. If your skin is dry stay away from anything matte. Go for a luminance/radiant one with medium or buildable coverage as full coverage can tend to look mask-like. Or you could try a cc cream.
