I am now 62 and always wear foundation. What make up do mature women here use? I'm a bit stuck now., I don't know whether to use a light foundation, more coverage. I have tried tinted moisturier but it doesn't cover enough when I want to go anywhere dressed up.

You can add moisturiser to your own foundation to dilute it and make it less full coverage.

I did use Estee Lauder doublewear which I thought was okay. Someone on here recommended Laura Geller baked foundation and wow - it is fab! So many people have told me I look so well.

I also use concealer for hyperpigmentation. The EL didn't really blend over that too well but the LG certainly does.

Less is more IMO. I'm 65 and no longer wear foundation.

I found my holy grail recently when I bought a Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser. It matches my skin exactly and makes it look smooth and natural, but better than my skin.

It has SPF30 as well.

This ^^

Thank you for your replies. I do have a foundation, Clinique Even Better Glow. I think I will try and mix it with moisturiser for the day time and see if that works and I can use it on its own when needed.

I am wondering that if I do buy just a tinted moisturiser next time, is it still better to use premium ones or are High Street ones just as good?

Those of you who wear tinted moisturiser only, do you still wear it when you go out dressed up or do you use a foundation then?

To answer your questions@pussinboots61 -

It's all subjective of course, but I haven't had much luck with budget tinted moisturizers. And believe me I've tried, I hate paying out just for a brand name. But the Laura Mercier one I like, Oil-Free Natural Skin Perfector, does make my skin look noticeably better.

The LM tinted moisturizer is a new discovery for me and I haven't worn it out-out yet, but I will. Maybe just apply a bit more than usual. I used to love going out with a full face of foundation but it's just too visible and mask-like now!

I use Laura Geller baked foundation as I have freckles. To eliminate them completely would be to use very thick foundation.
I put an SPF 30 moistureriser on then the baked foundation. It seems to stick well!

You can get a travel size of eborian cc or bb cream i love them both, the bb give a little more coverage than the cc, I wait until boots have a 20% off,
