I would prefer it to jersey to enable my norks to fit.And short sleeved or wide straps preferably .
I thank you.

Come on girls...lets crack this one.

I'm sure there was an ongoing Cod thread somewhere. Haven't seen it for a while though.

brimfull · 27/03/2008 22:14

yes I do remember cod bringing it up a few months ago..

DarthVader · 27/03/2008 22:19

this?

JackieBollyKnickers · 27/03/2008 22:21

Needs thicker straps, DarthVader - for covering bra straps, I think.

Sputnik · 27/03/2008 22:28

Funny Darth linking to Fat Face, as I immediatly thought of this, it has jersey side panels.

They have some nice stuff this year I think. Shirt dresses are ugly.

brimfull · 27/03/2008 22:34

darth ,my tits would laugh out loud at that, although verry nice

don't like the second one tbh

What's a school run summer dress?

MrsBadger · 31/03/2008 12:43

too sweaty on the pits?

you just have to keep you eyes open - they tend to pop up in Peacocks, Primark, Gap etc and you must grab as and when you see them

JackieNo · 31/03/2008 12:45

This or this if your legs are up to it (mine aren't). Ditto this?

MrsBadger · 31/03/2008 12:45

scatty it is a casual summer dress for eg flinging on over bikini when it's time to stop sunbathign and get the kid from school

not jersey

posieflump · 31/03/2008 12:45

don't people just wear jeans and Tshirts or combat trousers on the school run?!!

JackieNo · 31/03/2008 12:47

posie - not if it's really hot, no. YOu need something lighter and cooler, but with enough coverage to disguise bra straps.

MrsBadger · 31/03/2008 12:48

I keep looking at this and hoping it will suddenly come in a better colour
and this one too

brimfull · 31/03/2008 12:51

jackie-I like the last one you linked to but worry about my boobs fitting in those boob spaces, but that's the sort of thig yes.The first is great but that style I think makes me look preggers.
Mrsb I like the boden wrap ,do they have one this season as that one is sold out,I'll have a look. Not too keen on the cotton trader one.

I don't actually want one for the school run-tis just a way of describing a casual ,comfy dress.

Oh I see, thank you Mrs B.
Are we expecting a summer then this year?

JackieNo · 31/03/2008 12:52

Agree re the colour of the first one - most impractical. I like the colour of the second one, though.

The bit of the blurb that said: 'An embroidered design and flared hem give it the Per Una touch' made me laugh - actually, if it had some ruffles, and a few patches of other materials, plus some strange buttons sewed on for decoration, then that would give it the Per Una touch - that one's much too restrained.

brimfull · 31/03/2008 12:52

mrs b-yes!

I love that one but agree I'd want in nice colour...hmmm maybe I could dye the white one?

OP posts:
MrsBadger · 31/03/2008 12:53

we can dream, scatty...

Quattrocento · 31/03/2008 12:53

I thought pyjamas were the norm for the school run nowadays? On mumsnet anyway

MrsBadger · 31/03/2008 12:54

actually dying it isn;t such a bad idea

it's all cotton

I could have several in different colours...

TillyScoutsmum · 31/03/2008 13:01

like this

TillyScoutsmum · 31/03/2008 13:02

and this

brimfull · 31/03/2008 13:11

tilly -the 2nd one is more me-that's lovely!!
the 1st is probably too young for me,more what dd would wear.thanks

Mrs B-have ordered the white m&s dress and will dye I think. Thanks

Out of interest - what sort of age do you reckon that first one would be ok for ? The brochure for this place came through this morning (never heard of it before) and there's a lot of stuff in there I really like - including that first dress - but just not sure whether its a bit too young for me. I'm 33
