Waxing. Ouch! Jolen should work, maybe you need a new tub.

belcantavinissima · 27/03/2008 17:02

oh god, it is a new tub! ffs i am doomed to be hairy forever arent i? maybe i need a stronger bleach

I wax mine and always have done, when it grows back it doesnt feel prickly and it lasts a good couple of weeks before it grows back. I think once you convert to waxing you wont wanna go back!

clumsymum · 27/03/2008 17:04

FGS woman, have it waxed off. Really it's worth it.

I never liked actually bleaching mine, simply because if someone looks at you sideways on they can still see the 'tache

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/03/2008 17:05

Laser treatment. Permanent solution.

sexym · 27/03/2008 17:05

oh and it doesnt hurt!!

smugmumofboys · 27/03/2008 17:07

Definitely waxing. It will grow back softer and lighter and you can do it yourself easily at home. Or electrolysis is permanent although I found it too painful on my top lip (it's done wonders for my beard though )

avenanap · 27/03/2008 17:08

I have a freckle there, can I still wax?

Cappuccino · 27/03/2008 17:10

what do you do it at home with?

those pretreated strips are crap

belcantavinissima · 27/03/2008 17:10

mmmm i'm not sure about the not hurting- i am a complete and utter wuss- i only just about manage to get my eyebrows waxed and nothing else- am trying to build up to having bikini line done for the summer- do you not look a complete tit (thats a generic you not you personally!) when the stubbly bits grow back but not long enough to wax? or when you walk out the salon with a raging red rashy tache after the wax? at least with my eyebrows i can cover it with my fringe....

smugmumofboys · 27/03/2008 17:15

I actually find the strips better than hot wax at a salon as the latter brings me out in an horrific yellowhead rash. I do have to take a deep breath and pull as I exhale. But honestly, as someone who once Jolened regularly, the hairs really do grow back lighter and softer. You could always Jolen your regrowth??

sexym · 27/03/2008 17:16

In my opinion leave it to the professionals, having your bikini line waxed costs about £6 and having you lip done costs about £4. A salon will make a much better job of it and those wax strips in my opinion are a load of crap.

avenanap · 27/03/2008 17:17

i find sugaring is very effective. A bit messy though and I wouldn't let it get too hot.

ratbunny · 27/03/2008 17:20

I used to use jolen, until I noticed that you could still see my 'tache, except it was now blonde!
now I wax using wax strips, and havent looked back. it's great and really easy, AND it takes less time than bleaching too.

Swedes · 27/03/2008 17:23

A friend of mine bleached and I have to tell you she reminded me of this man. Her tache was much much more noticeable after her bleaching session.

2catsand1rabbit · 27/03/2008 17:29

Get rid of it, maybe through waxing. Bleaching can sometimes show it up even more!!

expatinscotland · 27/03/2008 17:31

WAX!

Ratbunny, mind sharing which wax strips you use?

I use warmed up wax, but I'd like to try strips on smaller areas rather than breaking out my wax warmer, wooden stirrers and spreaders and waxing cloths.

Prufrock · 27/03/2008 17:35

Threaded - much better than waxing as removes fine downy hairs and doesn't irritate the skin

SheherazadetheGoat · 27/03/2008 17:42

ipl - nuke the feckers

currantbunmum · 27/03/2008 17:43

I use superdrug own brand, they are so much much better than veet etc.

expatinscotland · 27/03/2008 17:44

yes, if you can afford IPL get there like a bullet.

my sister had it done on her tashe and she was so impressed with the results, she had her underarms done, too.

SheherazadetheGoat · 27/03/2008 17:52

i would ipl my entire body but sadly can only afford my tache

expatinscotland · 27/03/2008 17:58

i would, too, SG. in fact, if i won the Lotto, that would be the first thing i did.

Prufrock · 27/03/2008 18:01

I'm IPL'ing tache and bikini atm, but tbh whilst i am incredibly impressed with bikini, it's not so good on tache as some hairs are lighter, so don't get zapped, but still show up badly when covered in foundation/powder

expatinscotland · 27/03/2008 18:02

Pru, do they not have the IPL here that is designed for fairer hair on fairer skin?

My pal had her IPL in Denver, CO and had an IPL made for fairer hair on fairer skin and it worked a treat.

She had her tasche and sideburns done.
