Can anyone recommend a nice rucksack/backpack suitable for hand luggage? Preferably not leather

Thank you

@Seizethedog I'm not sure actually, I've only taken it transatlantic. I didn't take it last time we flew to France so it must be too big, sorry.

I love Roka and have the Canfield B large which is a good size for traveling about with although youay want something with wheels which these aren't

Another vote for Osprey here too. Very comfy to carry and lots of space. I think mine is a fair point 40 which has been fine for long haul but you might need smaller for some of the European short haul.

The good thing about Osprey type rucksacks is that they are non rigid. So you can have a bag with bigger measurements and just not fill it and it will be fine for getting on the plane as long as you can squish it in the little measuring basket thing.

i see plenty of TikTok’s of people who reckon they have such a bag half full, they wear excess clothes through check in and then take off loads of clothes and fill the rucksack. They reckon this “hack” works but I’m not convinced….don’t they recheck your bag size just prior to boarding? I can’t remember, Been so long since I flew.

If I could afford it I would buy the Nordace. Instead I just keep dropping hints.
