Stealth boast alert ‼️

I am fatish with massive boobs ,belly, bum and around the fine china area.
Long body
Short legs
Big feet.
Oh and shortish 5ft 4

Are there any other lucky mumsnetters blessed with my goddess like proportions that can tell me what they wear to look good.

I am sort of like a female hobbit if you need a visual 😊

Thank you 🙏

My mum has very short legs and is way shorter than you (like a human dachshund) and we’ve noticed long skirts make her look even shorter. Maybe vertical stripes on the legs, pale colour shoes to draw attention away from feet (or curl them up like sideshow bob in that one episode). High wasted things (or belts which I hate wearing myself) can create the illusion of a higher waist ergo a shorter torso. I can imagine what you mean about tops having uneven gems because of bust size, in these situations it can be useful to learn to sew. I’m built like a rectangle and have no waist whatsoever and I wear a girdle often. Or change your hair or glasses or something for fun

OP I would recommend looking at pics of any plus size celeb whose style you admire - mine is Aidy Bryant (star of the brilliant Shrill) - she’s short and round and absolutely stylish, gorgeous and confident.

I am similar, large of nork and belly, 16/18, 5 ft 4

I find a scoop or square neck suits me, and clothes gently fitted below the bust then looser over the butt.

I have 3 dresses from cider that I get loads of compliments on, they have lots of things in their curve range that are a good cut for boobs.

One example

I am a similar beautiful shape to you, OP - size 16/18, 5ft 5, long body, short legs, big feet, large norks, belly, bum...

I buy a lot of my clothes from And/Or at John Lewis, Sugarhill Brighton, Popsy and Scarlet & Jo. I mostly wear dresses because trousers and tops cut me off at my widest part and like you, trousers never seem to come up high enough.

I'm useless at styling but I tend to look at actresses or famous people who photographed regularly and are the same colouring, height and body shape as me.

They've all got stylists so I get ideas from there.

Is there anyone you think that closely looks like you that you could "borrow" from?

If you get the unlimited delivery pass, you can have free next day delivery and free return for a year. Great for trying on sizes and different cut. A friend of mine is similar size and shape to you (she's a bit shorter at 5'2"), we found her the perfect ball gown (for £55) after trying on some 20 dresses!

Ah @Smokemeakipper42 you've described me, but I'm a bit taller. I also have a problem with trousers not riding high enough, or boob lines/waistlines being low enough. Most of my height is in my back. "Tall" size trousers seem to be cut higher, and fit better at the top end, even if if means getting them taken up at the bottom end.

FindingMeno · 12/03/2024 08:00

I've no idea with the clothing but with your personality I think you are beautiful whatever you wear.

Cauliflowery · 12/03/2024 10:57

I have very similar / possibly same style (different pattern) from New Look last year. It is such a flattering dress! I feel like their shops are so uninspiring but they then have gems like this lurking about.

I've just re-bought from vinted a couple of m&s high waisted jeans I already had, in the same size but in Tall. I can confirm that the rise is a tad higher and it has changed my life for the better.

I am a similar shape @Smokemeakipper42 I too have the torso length of a much taller person. These are things that look good on me (note, despite the shortness of my legs, they are in decent shape, it's just my boob/tummy sitch which causes the grief).

My trick is to show my ankles and wrists - to give the illusion of height, and focus on the narrowest parts of my body.

Soft material peg/tapered shape trousers (ankle cuffs) - always cut just above the ankle.

With loose trousers - tops that cut in a straight line between waist and hip.
With tighter trousers - tops that cut at the bottom of my bum.

I get all smart coat sleeves taken up - to cut just above the wrist (gives me the impression of longer limbs, and I hate the sensation of baggy wrists).

3/4 length sleeve tops, or shirts rolled (carefully and ironed in place) to just below the elbow.

Visible thin layering - a very thin/fine camisole, under an oversized but thin v-neck cardi or jumper.

Fitted t-shirt, but always worn with a soft/light boyfriend shape blazer - I never take that blazer off.

Wear colours that suit me next to my face - I like to wear all black, but it washes me out, so I often wear a cashmere snood, or similar scarf (in summer) in a rose pink, pale blue, etc. which is more flattering on my skin.

Thanks again all for the fantastic advice and links to lovely clothes.

Im in awe of the knowledge you all have on how to work a look.

And it’s also nice to know that I’m not the only one who possesses such physical attributes.

So grateful to everyone that took the time to post ❤️
