Stealth boast alert ‼️

I am fatish with massive boobs ,belly, bum and around the fine china area.
Long body
Short legs
Big feet.
Oh and shortish 5ft 4

Are there any other lucky mumsnetters blessed with my goddess like proportions that can tell me what they wear to look good.

I am sort of like a female hobbit if you need a visual 😊

Thank you 🙏

I find paper bag waist trousers or tulip style skirts/dresses work well with me

Smokemeakipper42 · 11/03/2024 19:30

😂 “What a guy”

I am sure you look lovely in anything 'iron balls...' Smile

And you sound lovely!

I would suggest anything that doesn't go too far below the knee. Long skirts/dresses can look frumpy on short, curvy women IMO.

Signed, a short, curvy woman! (size 16-18 and 5 ft 3 and a half!)

Goddessonahighway · 11/03/2024 21:02

Is there someone on tv that catches your eye for their outfits? Doesn't matter if they are same size as you cos you could tweak so that it's comfy for you. I saw a school mum who looked really smart so I got inspiration from her. I particularly liked Gillian Anderson in The Fall. So elegant and far too smart for my day to day activities but I've copied her silky blouses, with jeans that suit me. Who do you like the look of?

Divebar2021 · 11/03/2024 21:03

Hi OP 👋- I enjoyed your opening post but you really do talk a lot of shit about yourself. You’re not that big mate…. I’m a size 16 and 5’6” and I enjoy fashion a lot. You’re not a problem that needs fixed. My advice in these posts is to think about the style you are genuinely attracted to rather than dressing to fix some perceived flaws. If you’re interested you could look at a book called The Curated Closet by Anoushka Rees or a more recent one by Allison Borstein called Wear it Well - she’s a stylist who created the three word method. She has a lot of useful videos on Tik Tok if you have access to that. There is also a British Stylist / Influencer called Anna Cascarina who is publishing a book called The Forever Wardrobe but it’s not out until May. She also has a lot of interesting videos on Instagram / Tik Tok. There are various other influencers who discuss finding your personal style but I like those 3. It might feel a bit frustrating to have to do research when you just want to buy a few bits but I think it’s worth having a clear idea what you like rather than wasting money.

It’s a polite way of referencing my chubster lady bits .

Oh Jesus, if I was born a hundred years ago I would have been picked up by the circus.

I'll never forget a chap I once knew talking about a 'Gunt'.

RobinEllacotStrike · 11/03/2024 21:08

I'm taller than you but also large of body & nork.

I have 3 of these dresses and I love them. Wear with tops over or cardigan. They cover so many dins while being minimal. They are a bit pricy but well worth it as I live in them all spring & summer. Massive pockets

I have them in black green & purple

Pepsimaxedout · 11/03/2024 21:09

In all seriousness OP, I am short, size 16 or bigger in the skinny girl shops. I just wear what I like. Wide leg or flared jeans with a fitted top. Fit and flared dresses with chunky boots. PJs cos I work from home.

StrangeNew · 11/03/2024 21:10

I’ll ignore your budgetary considerations, @Smokemeakipper42 - you can’t buy the sort of clothes you’re hoping for, for pennies.

Beyond Nine

Palava

Batsheva

might all be fun to look through. Then you might find them pre-owned or on sale.

Sarah Millican looks bloody fab lately. I think she has a stylist and wears dresses from one particular designer.

I only mention her because your description of yourself makes me think you might be a similar body type.

Plus, you’re also very funny, so her type of clothes might suit you too!

Smokemeakipper42 · 11/03/2024 21:30

The responses on here have been amazing.

Im so grateful to each and everyone of you for taking the time to reply
The links and suggestions are just great and so what i needed.

You are all wonderful

@LunaNorth those Zuri dresses are beautiful. Where do they sit on you? Are they knee length or above?

anunlikelyseahorse · 11/03/2024 21:36

What type of clothing are you after?
Dressy / weddingy smart?
Office smart?
Smart casual?
Casual and comfortable?
If you want comfy I love the Amazon essential hoodies and long sleeved t.shirt. They are a decent length (I'm 5"9) and they cover my camels toes! I'm a fat bastard and they don't make me look like a snowball on legs.
Jeans I love stretch Levi's they are a bit more than supermarket brands but fit and wash really well, think they were £35. Quite pricey but I wear them everyday and my black pair are smarter enough for work.
I also have a pair of 'yogacise' yoga pants/ running tights. They are really thick and warm, wear them for running, although I wouldn't go out in town with them as they give me a bit of a wedgie ....not a good look!
Landsend men's clothing, is longer in the body and fits me well, but Landsend ladies wear has really short arms....or I'm just Neanderthal women.
I have big wide feet, could give the yeti a run for its money when it comes to big feet, but have comfy clarkes gortex trainers (hate wet feet) mens wide fitting. I have one smart pair for work and one pair for running / out and about. They are the only shoes that don't rub my bunions or give me corns.

I’ve never tried them myself, but Sarah Millican seems to wear them just below the knee. I think they’re classed as midi.

Goddessonahighway · 11/03/2024 21:41

@LunaNorth just below the knee sounds perfect.

Im after suggestions for every occasion , I am clueless.

I think I have extra long arms too as the reach the end of my long body 🤔
I have been put together with all the spare parts.…I’m Mrs Potato head 😭

Could you go for volume and colour? Volume, colour and cleavage, in your case. You can't make a shrub look like a poplar but a lovely, rounded shrub with a glorious floral display is always a welcome sight. Camila Batmanghelidjh (with or without the head wraps).

Going the other way - have you got a waist? If so, you can look good in skin-tight gear as long as it contains plenty of Lycra. Rapper aesthetic, work those curves grrl, etc!

Or (my personal preference) you can say fuck it, buy what you like in a size that fits, and just bloody wear it.

I tend to shy away from colour but maybe that is a mistake.

I have Celtic skin so strong colours do compliment my complexion.

Now, Lycra and me I can’t see happening ,I would look like a bag of walnuts

But I appreciate your suggestions immensely and has given me food for thought .

I get what you mean about finding inspiration in others but I rarely see anyone that I can relate to body wise. except in Lord of the rings 😂
