Has anyone used this? Is it really that amazing? Tempted by their sale. But it's still stupidly expensive.

So the reviews look amazing. Are they all fake?

I looked at reviews on trustpilot and there are some negative ones but the company do seem to honour the money back guarantee. It's not suitable for dry hair.

dgirluk · 10/02/2024 13:09

I've used it (using it currently) - the shampoo is really liquid so I find it hard to get onto my hair without losing some. Conditioner is normal consistency. It smells gorgeous ! Not sure it's changed my life, but I'm tempted to try another bottle of the shampoo (using more shampoo than conditioner so I'm out of sync)

AndyAndTheBand · 10/02/2024 13:12

I'm always up for new shampoo, what does this one do?

ScoobyDoesnt · 10/02/2024 13:14

I tried it on a pre Xmas offer - three sets of shampoo and conditioner (6 bottles total) plus a couple of freebies cost me £80z

Plus points:
Smells lovely
Nice packaging

Minus points:
Made my hair really lank and dull
Tried using more, less, shampooed twice, rinsed beyond rinsing

I have coloured (not bleached) wavy hair, slightly on the dry side - and live in a hard water area. Not sure which of those bits meant it just didn’t suit me!

However - customer service is excellent. They refunded me with 48 hours without any issue, and let me keep everything. I’m going to take it down to my friends in Wales when I go to stay with them soon to see if soft water helps!

Starbucksstar · 10/02/2024 13:18

I've been using it for a few months - bought the Xmas offer too-and it has made my hair shinier and less frizzy. Not life-changingly so, but pretty good

PrawnDumplings · 11/02/2024 11:55

Hmmm sounds like it might not work for everyone

Ok I've tried it now at the sale price. Even that was expensive. It's nice. But overpriced. Imo.

Maybe just rinse in Evian?
It would be cheaper! 🤣

hamletomelette · 24/02/2024 10:35

For me worth every penny. Dry and thinning hair before use. Has transformed it to normal hair, strangely looks thicker, scalp less sore. First hair product that's actually helped. Only been using it a month.

makemineaflatwhiteplease · 21/03/2024 22:31

I’m 2 weeks into using it. Finding its making my hair really lank and it feels horrible. I got in contact with the company and they have suggested I persevere but if it’s still doesn’t suit me I can get a refund. I bought it on a whim after seeing ads on insta. It seems they are quite used to people not getting on with it as it’s a natural product and it seems our hair is not used to natural. However at the moment I feel it is was an expensive purchase for a shampoo that makes my hair feel awful. But thinking positively, this might change. I will make a comment on this thread if it does .

I'm about 3 weeks in, stupidly believed the reviews and went for the 3 pack (came with freebies and I'm a sucker for a freebie). My problem is/was that I've found my hair has become sort of frizzy, but almost like it's burnt on the ends and a number of bits of hair have literally broken off half way up my head. I'm thinking this is a menopause thing as it happened out of the blue about 3 years ago. I thought this shampoo would help, but like @makemineaflatwhiteplease it feels quite lank, still frizzy etc. I emailed them and they said the same to me, stick with it, but I'm not sure how long to stick with it for. Can you update @makemineaflatwhiteplease ?

makemineaflatwhiteplease · 05/06/2024 18:22

I gave up on the Cornish seaweed shampoo & conditioner as I felt it was not helping. I still have half full bottles left. I did however try their seaweed soap (a fraction of the price) as I had read in a review that it had worked well for someone else. I liked the seaweed soap and it was much kinder to my hair and made it feel light and washed again. However I didn't feel it combined very well with their conditioner. The reason I tried these products was to add volume and hopefully encourage hair growth. I have now moved onto Champu - another Instagram inspired buy! But this is already showing much better results. I am using the Pita range and I use the serum on my scalp daily. I am about 4 weeks in and I would say it is beginning to make an improvement. Like the Cornish Seaweed products, Champu are not cheap but I would say they suit my hair type much better and am encouraged by the fact that they might help my hair grow! Good luck!

wherestheweightlosspill · 06/06/2024 09:27

@makemineaflatwhiteplease thanks so much. Funnily enough, I have the soap, that was one of the freebies! So I might give that a try. I've seen Champu advertised loads so maybe I'll give that a go next. Really appreciate your response x

I've recently bought the shampoo and conditioner.

The first time I used it I popped a few pumps into my hands, got a tiny bit lather than went to start working into my hair. It literally disappeared, like I'd put none in at all. The shampoo doesn't lather at all making it impossible to distribute through your hair. I ended up using a lot to make me feel like I'd at least got some of most of my hair/scalp. My hair is lank, incredibly greasy and looks awful.

I messaged customer service who said my hair needed to detox from sulfates and silicone etc as this is a 100% natural shampoo. I can understand that. They attached a fact sheet.

I went back again and asked how long I might expect this to take and they said 4-6 weeks and to persevere. 😭

I feel they have been a bit disingenuous as nowhere in their marketing does it talk about a potential transition period. And, strangely, I've not seen this on their reviews.

So, I'm 2 weeks in and just jot sure what to do. Realistically I think I would need to buy another shampoo before the 6 weeks. Do I persevere?? I'm 51, menopausal with an incredibly itchy irrated scalp and visible hair thinning that I'm finding really distressing. ...

Jewelanemone · 01/12/2024 14:36

I'm resurrecting this thread as I was given some shampoo and conditioner for my birthday in October. I went to use the shampoo today for the first time and was surprised at how thin it was, and no lather!

I'd be interested to know how others have got on with it who have persevered.

My hair is sun-bleached and long, and I live in a hard water area.

Ghostofborleyrectory · 01/12/2024 14:41

No froth, made my hair an impressive mixture of lank and dry.

Wherethewildthingsfart · 01/12/2024 14:42

@Jewelanemone I really like it for my peri hair. I like that it doesn’t lather as it means no/less nasty SLS.

If you are saying that a bottle of shampoo lasts you only 6 weeks then you must be using far too much of it - which may be the reason.

No... I said I was told it would take up to 6 weeks to detox my hair. I ended up using it for approximately that length of time. There was still plenty of product in the bottles at the end of this period.

It just wasn't for me and I had a really quite dressing month and a half hoping it might work, while trying to hide just how awful my hair looked due how greasy it was. It did nothing to aid my scalp itchiness. I had to wear caps and Head scarves. I'm lucky I work from home as there would have been no way I could have gone to work with hair like that. 2 friends were worried I had cancer due to me wearing the head scarf! I honestly hated the stuff by the end.

I moved on and have been using MooGoo with great success. It's cheaper, more product for the price and natural too.

coxesorangepippin · 10/12/2024 03:41

What's up with the 3 for 2?

I just want one bottle of shampoo

coxesorangepippin · 10/12/2024 03:42

@AudOneOut

Which moo goo shampoo please
