If you've had a facelift, which type did you have and why?

I'm thinking of having a facelift in a couple of years. My menopause has started (still have periods every now and again) so I'm waiting for my periods to stop and then get it done (as advised by a couple of surgeons I have spoken to).

There are so many different types of facelift around (deep plane, lower face & neck, ponytail, etc) so I'm looking for first-hand feedback of what people have had done, why, and whether they are happy with the results. I know it's a very individual decision but I'm looking for a starting point. Thanks!

My dermatologist says the only facelift worth spending money on is a deep plane facelift as anything else will only last 5 to 10 years, so not worth the investment. However at £20K plus for a deep plane facelift I’ll be passing.

Lot of money !🫤

Hi, could you also please share the name of the person that did the deep plane face lift, as I'd love to have one done; but I am seeing that they costs approx 50k. Thank you.

I'll PM you.

Hi, Can you please DM the name of the person too? I would really appreciate it as I'm thinking about getting it done (if I can afford it). Thanks.

I had a deep plane lower face and neck lift last November. It's so subtle and perfect, scars hidden and incredibly natural. I had a brilliant surgeon in London, not cheap at 15k. Best thing I've ever done.

can I ask how the recover was? Did you have it under general anaesthetic? 😁

It's great you're planning ahead. I had a mini-lift and the best advice I got was to properly plan for the downtime. I actually went abroad for mine, which allowed me to recover peacefully without any obligations at home. Made a huge difference. Feel free to PM me for details!

I am booked in for a smas facelift in Newcastle, surgeon sent me away 6 years ago. This time he said mini facelift waste of money full facelift and necklift is what he recommends. Cost £10, 700 Dr Peter Hogkinson. I researced him andwould have traveled for him. Its a slow process. Went for 1st consult in July, 2nd September ( that was me waiting) then psycological assessment and 3rd consult now booked in for March

Anne1212 · 27/10/2025 20:22

Should say op is booked for March

Hi has anyone on here had a facelift in either manchester liverpool or chester? These are the cities close to where I live so would be having mine in any of these places. Just looking for any recommendations and want to know peoples results

Nifty50something · 21/11/2025 13:50

I would also like to know prices of deep plane facelifts, please. Particularly any with twilight or local anaesthesia as I had a bad reaction to general once and don't want to risk that again for a cosmetic procedure.

Not sure if you're still following this thread but I'd love to know the name of your surgeon, too - thanks in advance!
