Has anyone had fat dissolving injections- do they work? Do they last? Are they worth the money? I wanted to get my chin/jaw to look more refined but not sure if it’s worth the hype

My friend had this done. She was swollen and bruised for about a month and lost sensation on one side of her jaw which took many months to resolve. The results were virtually unnoticeable. She doesn’t believe it was worth it.

Was that lemon bottle or the surgery?

Of course!

I got my surgery done at the Basingstoke BMI hospital, and the consultant was Mr Crawford.

I went to see 3 other consultants at bupa, Claire park and Harley street so I did extensive research and I wasn't happy with the previous 3.

He has glowing reviews and was very knowledgeable. I had 2 consultations prior, and then was booked in about 8 weeks for surgery after my first consultation.

The surgery took an hour. I have absolutely no scarring. It's done via a small incision no bigger than a big cannula. Recovery was absolutely fine, sent me home with codeine which I didn't need. I was back to work on day 4. I had a follow up appointment 6 weeks later and was then discharged.

He was very good at getting my notes from hospital and finding the reason as to why my neck and chin were like they were. It was due to chemo and steroid use. He was incredibly thorough and did tell me the results would be subtle.

They may be subtle in the fact it doesn't look like I've had work done, but it's completely changed my life! Highly recommend. And himself as a consultant, he was so lovely too. He listened to everything I said, didn't try to talk me out of it, and explained everything in thorough detail.

I can PM you his secretaries number at the BMI if you wish :)

Thank you so much for all the info, really appreciated. I’ve reached out to one surgeon at Claire’s Park but have not found them to be particularly helpful.

please do forward his secretaries number when you have a moment. Thanks again

There's no medical evidence that it works, you'd be better off exercising and eating healthier. Kybella on the other hand is scientifically proven and has great results.

If he's a Mr Topping at CP I had absolutely no luck with him!

Details blow PP, and I've linked where I found him so you can read up about him if you wish.
