Lemon bottle

Has anyone had fat dissolving injections- do they work? Do they last? Are they worth the money? I wanted to get my chin/jaw to look more refined but not sure if it’s worth the hype

I have looked into this and would be really interested too.

However for the time being I have decided it sounds too good to be true.

Following with interest.

I agree! At first, I was sceptical. There isn’t much medical evidence or even reviews online outside of social media. It’s hard to know what’s a fad or not.

After a quick glance, it seems 1 vial is 10ml. To treat the chin, you may need up to 30ml. However some practitioners charge per vial, whereas others charge per area (so you get the full amount). Something to look out for as with those that charge per vial, you’ll need to spend more and potentially get less of a result?

I had lemon bottle in my double chin. At my clinic you are charged per area, and chin is classed as a small area, stomach etc as large.

They used white eyeliner to make a grid of tiny boxes on my chin, then did a lot of injections, one per box on the grid I think. Multiple bottles were used. Didn't hurt at all.

Unfortunately, it hasn't made even the slightest bit of difference to the appearance of my chin.

Oh really! That’s awful.

Tbh I could probably get the chin of my dreams by losing weight, seems like I’d be better of just trying to get down to my ideal weight

That's the same conclusion I came too.

In terms of overall health benefits loosing 5-10% of your weight will be so much better.

I would still love a quick fix though Confused

It has absolutely no pharmaceutical ingredients in it. You’re basically injecting vitamin B2, pineapple juice, and lechitin, which turns into choline which is related to acetylcholine which has to do with neuromuscular junctions (?!?!?). It’s completely worthless.

This is a great article that discusses what it contains, why it doesn’t do anything, two medications that are actually approved by the pharmaceutical governing bodies in the US and Europe, but one is only for the under chin and the other is for the under chin and I believe other small areas. And of course, they contain actual chemicals that do something. I’d encourage reading this, and if you want injections, going to a real doctor (though it doesn’t have to be the clinic that wrote this article) and getting a real injection which will be more expensive but will work:

And if it doesn’t work correctly, a certified doctor will usually (hopefully) stick to the tenets of their profession and try to sort it out with you.

Sadly, there is no cheap solution. Either you pay for a more expensive injection, or you put in the work (and maybe money for healthier food and a trainer) to lose the weight. Believe me, I definitely WISH there was a great, easy, cheap solution, so I’m not judging anyone. I just hate to see people throw their money away.

Lemon Bottle: Revolutionary Fat Dissolver or is it Social Media Hype?

Lemon Bottle, by now, you've likely heard of the new kid on the block for fat dissolving. You've seen the video of bacon fat melting before your eyes. The question is, is this a new wonder product or is it slick marketing with everyone jumping on the h...

It's shit. I had 3 lots, exactly as pp said with white grid drawn on etc.

Didn't hurt but no results at all.

kingzion · 31/01/2024 13:39

I also had them done, with no results.

I ended up having chin lipo and the results are incredible.

I can post a pic if anyone wants.

I had Aqualix which did work (and there are research papers that show it works) but now my clinic only offers Lemonbottle.

MorrisZapp · 31/01/2024 15:23

Chin lipo pics please madam!

MorrisZapp · 31/01/2024 15:23

Also may we know your age?

kingzion · 01/02/2024 22:26

Here's my before, day after op and now.

For reference I'm in my 20s and I'm a slim size 8 but chemo and steroids wrecked my chin. No matter what I did I just held fat pockets there.

Highly recommend. I have zero scarring, none whatsoever :)

Thank you for sharing…. You (and your chin) look great. Can I ask how much it cost?

AppleDumplingWithCustard · 02/02/2024 01:37

The training ‘course’ for this is just four hours. Beauticians round my way are advertising the product. No disrespect to them but there’s no way on God’s earth that I’d let anyone with no medical training stick needles in any part of me, especially my face. The risk of necrosis or nerve damage is just too great. Four hours is nowhere near long enough to get an in-depth knowledge of the anatomy and physiology that’s would ensure any level of safety.

Anjea · 02/02/2024 07:01

@kingzion your chin looks fab

It cost £3.2k, I got it done at a BMI hospital in Hampshire

would you be able to tell me who your surgeon was please? I’m in Surrey so not to far away from Hampshire and am really looking for some recommendation as it’s a total minefield to me. Any extra info you can provide would be very useful and appreciated.

kingzion · 11/02/2024 12:02

Of course!

I got my surgery done at the Basingstoke BMI hospital, and the consultant was Mr Crawford.

I went to see 3 other consultants at bupa, Claire park and Harley street so I did extensive research and I wasn't happy with the previous 3.

He has glowing reviews and was very knowledgeable. I had 2 consultations prior, and then was booked in about 8 weeks for surgery after my first consultation.

The surgery took an hour. I have absolutely no scarring. It's done via a small incision no bigger than a big cannula. Recovery was absolutely fine, sent me home with codeine which I didn't need. I was back to work on day 4. I had a follow up appointment 6 weeks later and was then discharged.

He was very good at getting my notes from hospital and finding the reason as to why my neck and chin were like they were. It was due to chemo and steroid use. He was incredibly thorough and did tell me the results would be subtle.

They may be subtle in the fact it doesn't look like I've had work done, but it's completely changed my life! Highly recommend. And himself as a consultant, he was so lovely too. He listened to everything I said, didn't try to talk me out of it, and explained everything in thorough detail.

I can PM you his secretaries number at the BMI if you wish :)

My friend had this done. She was swollen and bruised for about a month and lost sensation on one side of her jaw which took many months to resolve. The results were virtually unnoticeable. She doesn’t believe it was worth it.
