Right, in very unusualy fashion for me, I saw it, tried it on and brought it.

Top layer is black and pink but the pink underlayer makes the dress look burgandyish.

The pink is like a dark baby pink i'd say.

So, what do i wear on my feet and what bag ?

Pic in profile by the way.

Argh have made profle public, but it's not showing up.

Where did you buy it? Is there an online picture from the shop?

BroccoliSpears · 20/03/2008 13:53

It's lovely.

I'd do black accessories.

Pointy-toe, kitten heel shoes and a clutch bag because dress is strapless and you don't want to mess that up with a bag strap.

BroccoliSpears · 20/03/2008 13:53

Oh - I can see it on your profile.

CrackerOfNuts · 20/03/2008 13:55

Oh good you can see it.

I think black accsesories will be easiest, you are right.

It was a bit of an impulse buy and I was worried all the way home that it was awful.

i'd go slightly 50's ish with the dress, slingbacks, kitten heel, wrap and clutch bag

maybe bright pink? baby pink might be a bit twee, unlesss you're very young

Habbibu · 20/03/2008 13:57

Agree with Broccoli - black, and simple. Will be a pretty outfit!

CrackerOfNuts · 20/03/2008 13:59

I'm 29.

It is for a hen weekend night out in Spain. I had brought something all together more casual, but then was told we were doing 'dressy' for the 2nd night.

Is it ok for meal out , then pub/club scenario ?

OP posts:
mazzystar · 20/03/2008 14:06

oh gosh for some reason i was thinking wedding

in that case black, simple, chic, patent maybe.

i only ever go to pubs in the daytime these days, so not best at advising....can you dance with gay abandon in strapless?

CrackerOfNuts · 20/03/2008 14:07

These any good ?

OP posts:
CrackerOfNuts · 20/03/2008 14:07

I don't dance until drunk mazzy, so I won't care by then LOLl.

OP posts:
CrackerOfNuts · 20/03/2008 14:17

Anyone else

OP posts:
BroccoliSpears · 20/03/2008 14:25

I wouldn't put those shoes with the dress. Bit too 90s.

Hang on... will try and find something...

MrsBadger · 20/03/2008 14:27

oh very pretty

something black and simple, the detail on the dress is decoration enough.

BroccoliSpears · 20/03/2008 14:31

Hmm... I can't find quite what I mean. A bit like this but no t-bar. I'd go for something sexy with toe-cleavage.

CrackerOfNuts · 20/03/2008 14:31

Thanks Broccoli, i'm useless at matching things up.

I'm glad everyone likes it

OP posts:
CrackerOfNuts · 20/03/2008 14:32

Ahh see what you mean. Will look for something similar to those then.

Disclaimer: I am not particularly stylish; listen to my suggestions at your own risk!

CrackerOfNuts · 20/03/2008 14:40

LOL

I member of the hen party has just said that she thinks dress might be too dressy

Now this is why I hate this type of thing. I will end up taking about 100 outfits just incase.

OP posts:
CrackerOfNuts · 20/03/2008 14:41

I like these, they won't go though will they ?

OP posts:
BroccoliSpears · 20/03/2008 14:44

Those are gorgeous.

I can't decide if you could wear them with the dress.

CrackerOfNuts · 20/03/2008 14:48

Hmmmmmmmmmm I dunno.

Will think about it on school run LOL.

OP posts:
CrackerOfNuts · 20/03/2008 16:00

Anymore for any comments/help ?

OP posts:
CrackerOfNuts · 20/03/2008 17:20

Sorry, but have to bump again as I am still sat here, looking at the dress out of the corner of my eye thinking it might be too dressy.

OP posts:
ScoobyDoo · 20/03/2008 17:27

I think the dress will be fine for a night out in spain
