Black trousers when your bum basically has its own gravitational pull

Looking for some work appropriate stretchy trousers (are formal yoga pants a thing?!) I do a lot of movement for my work so need to be able to move but also look half decent for when I’m in the office.

The catch is I have a massive bum and thighs in relation to my basically child sized waist - it’s such a huge difference it’s comical or a tad depressing because anything not stretchy is just indecent. Jeans aren’t even worth contemplating. For years I’ve only worn dresses, skirts or leggings. I’m a firm believer in finding clothes that work for your body and not the other way around! For a while big bums seemed to be in and they actually made big bum trousers in small sizes but that seems to have faded out … Ideally something that might balance me out a bit!

Any suggestions ?

Wear a skirt and jacket. Trousers of any sort only look good on thin women. Skirts work much better and it is a feminist statement.

I’m all bum, as well. Mom jeans & that sort of big bum trouser are not my friend. I look like a weeble! Years ago, flares or wide-legs worked. Now I like ankle-crop black trousers with a high waistband that slim the area. And a jacket over them. But, still, dresses are more flattering on me.

Have a look at halara - the wide leg stretch "jeans" may suit you!

I call bullshit my man.

APC do the most amazing elastic waited trousers that are the perfect blend of smart and casual. I can't take them off!

Downside they are very expensive.. but I bagged them in the Xmas sale. But sooo worth every penny.

I wish I had your problem! But I appreciate buying clothes must be a pain. ASOS do an Hourglass range, maybe try them?

Thanks all! I’ve got a nice list to try!

@Grammarnut … I’m reasonably certain that if a feminist consensually wears something on their body (no matter what body shape), it’s feminist regardless the number of seams.

Next black jersey denim leggings are spectacular and I wear them for work - they look smart and I find if I buy the longer length, they sit looser at the ankle and so look more like a straight leg trouser. I too am big of bum and thigh and really love these. They come in pull-on style and also with a button and fly, which is my preference.
