How do you take off tubing mascara..

.. without warm water.

Like at a festival.

My mind is drifting forward to summer days and I’m wonder if there an alternative to pulling it off with your fingers 😁

Can you get hold of a takeaway tea? Black tea no milk

MrsTerryPratchett · 12/01/2024 20:39

Dye your eyelashes instead. Much easier for summer.

Only works if you are fair and have thick lashes. If you already have dark lashes dying doesn't do anything. And if you you have thin lashes you need mascara to beef them up

I use either miceller water or an eye friendly face wash.

PollyOrange · 12/01/2024 20:49

H hi nearly if change to one that comes off with a regular remover for the festival.
Normally you'd have to prise my tubing off me but without hot water to remove I'd be snookered

MrsTerryPratchett · 12/01/2024 20:52

Actually in the mosh pit you'll get hot and sweaty enough to get it off. <helpful>

Yes this.
Get a primark mascara just for the weekend!

Wictc · 12/01/2024 22:02

I just use micellar water. Never had an issue.

Changingplace · 12/01/2024 22:04

At a festival I usually take a washing up bowl and fill with water from a carrier to wash my face, all the camping fields always have water taps.

OhpoorMe · 12/01/2024 22:09

Just any make up remover! I feel like this a trick question 😂

PurplePim · 12/01/2024 22:16

Damp cotton wool pad held onto the outside of a cup of tea or other hot thing to get warm. Or in the worst case scenario hold damp cotton wool pad over your eye for a while to warm it up with body heat. Make sure it's not too dry as it doesn't work as well.

ElizabethVonArnim · 12/01/2024 22:26

Simple micellar water manages to get most of it off in a normal approach (as I discovered when our hot water went off earlier this month).

OneMoreTime23 · 12/01/2024 22:27

Tubing mascara needs heat to remove. Micellar won’t work, will it?!

This one does, as I have recently found out: https://www.escentual.com/nuxe/aux-3-roses/pp-9179/?gadsource=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIyfz99PbYgwMVD4FQBh0T1guEEAAYAiAAEgKHHfDD_BwE

I remove tubing mascara with micellar water no problem.

I've never heard of it needing heat! I just take mine off with whatever make remover I've to hand!

What’s wrong with pulling it off? I do that every day and rather enjoy it.

Tozin · 12/01/2024 23:06

Pour water into a bowl and use in the same way as you would from the sink 😃
