Does anyone have FitFlops? They are meant to do the same job as MBTs but are less ugly. Can anyone confirm effectiveness???

I have a pair of Fitflops and they are great. Fit very snugly and certainly work the buttocks at least. I wear them almost constantly as they are so comfortable. Would love some mbts but cannot possibly justify £100-150 a pair.

Coo Twiglett how the sceptical are converted! I don't know about the back pain, had nothing like it, but I thought they were meant to help relieve back pain rather than inflict it.

I have them and love them and wear them all the time both in and out of house, they are so sturdy and comfy. Don't know about toning effects but I like having air round my feet and they feel more like a proper supporting shoe than flip flops which are really shocking. They aren't the most attractive du monde I suppose but do look ok, if functional, with crops / shorts / jeans I tell meself.

On a more frivolous note you can now get sequinned ones.

sniggers

I still maintain I was justified in all my responses AND in having bought them ... funny how I can do that innit?

Oh the whole point of MN is ranty opinions combined with self-contradiction at will.

OK, ladies, please link to places to buy MBTs that will leave me enough money to buy extra long trousers to cover them ...

I ordered some fitflops after reading this thread (and maybe another I now can't find). They've just arrived and I'm a bit unsure about the fit. My left foot fits fine, right foot feels ok until I start to walk fast then it flies off!

There is a tag attached to them that says the fit changes depending on walking or standing and if the foot slips off the footbed while walking to buy the next size up. Well the strap accoss the top is definately not tight so I'm very unsure about getting a bigger pair

I'm not used to walking in flip flops (too cold in winter!). Do you think my right foot will get used to it, or is it always going to fall off?!
