Help me choose which colour Mulberry handbag!

I'm treating myself and I'm unsure which colour to go for in the Mulberry Zipper Bayswater.

I was between Black (classic!), tan (more versatile?) or oxblood (lovely, but is it all year round colour).

One more vote for oxblood, I also liked the chalk, bit high maintenance but very classy!

Think about your wardrobe and what you tend to wear at the times you’d be using the bag, would be my advice.

Also, can you go into the shop and look? Some of the colours and styles look very different in real life. You might surprise yourself and fall in love 😁. John Lewis will order any that you ask for if they don’t have them in stock so you can go back and try them out.

I have a couple of them, and I ended up going for very bright colours because I mostly live in plain black clothes. I get so many compliments on one that is a sort of bubblegum pink, and I really didn’t go meaning to buy pink, I was thinking of lilac or pale grey.

Yes it does depend on your wardrobe - I used to wear a lot of black, grey and dark blue when I was in a role that needed suits, so a black bag worked. But now I’m more casual at work, brown, tan and cream works better with my wardrobe. That said, I suit autumnal colours, so oxblood would fit well with a lot of the shades I wear. If you are someone who wears a lot of “winter” shades, black would probably go better.

So OP- what colours do you wear? What colour coats do you wear? (The oxblood would look great next to beige rain Mac or navy or green wool coat)

I have this in oxblood and only ever use it in Autumn/Winter. I have another bag in a lighter colour for Spring/Summer. However, I have had my Mulberry for about 5 years, I use it every day for half the year and it still looks new! The quality is definitely there for the price!

I was bought the zipped tote but have never worn it as found it too heavy.. it's a really heavy bag even with nothing in it.
