Which backpack Gucci or LV

What’s everyone’s thoughts on these backpacks? Anyone have one and can tell me a honest review ? Which one everyone prefers etc Thank you

Palm Springs - both coated canvas I think but LV coated canvas is very easy to clean IME. Personally I’d go for damier rather than logo print in LV 😊

Not keen on either of them. Marginally prefer the Gucci.
Aspinal do some nice backpacks.

Not keen either sorry. I saw a man on a train recently dressed head to toe in Gucci green & red stripe wear, surrounded by LV luggage bags and swigging on a large bottle of bubbly. Lottery winner was my first thought. Maybe it was just the combination of it all… It wasn’t exactly quiet luxury 😁

Yep agree. They're both quite ugly (I have a LV wallet, but it's just a plain brown shiny one)

I agree with looking for something a bit less BRAND LOGO IN YOUR FACE! That trend has had its day and understated luxury is the way to go.

It’s just SO much money for a bag made of cheap, short lived materials. I’ve nothing against logos per se, but for similar money, you could have something made from leather that will last a lifetime and possibly even be passed on to your DC.

Mulberry have some beautiful backpacks, that are better in pretty much every way.

Edited to add - is the LV one leather? If so def go with that one.

Neither. They are both items hoping you will be so excited by the distant brand heritage that you will buy an overpriced and impractical backpack from them.

I think if you want to spend c. £2k on a backpack, you could get a really good quality, durable one. Have you looked at other brands?

The real deal of either will look much classier in person and if that’s the style you like the opinion of others is irrelevant, I would say the LV will hold its value much better than the Gucci, if a year down the line you change your mind the LV will still more than likely be worth 3/4 of what you paid and the Gucci around 1/2 xxx

Depends on your style... I like the LV one.

I think the Gucci would look on a younger/ more urban look ie if you like wearing a sports luxe look and nice trainers etc

Whereas the LV is more "grown up" and I think would go with almost all outfits

Enjoy whichever you get!

They're both dreadful, sorry OP. You could spend a quarter of that budget and pick up a quality, understated Italian leather bag that will be a classic in your wardrobe. These 2 look so tacky.

Not keen on the Gucci print. And there are far better LV back packs but depends on your budget. I prefer the discovery or the Montsouris.

Although it looks like the ones I had on my wish list are now gone!

Not a fan of either bag/brand and as you can see several people on here aren't either but people like what they like and you have asked for an opinion between these 2 options so I will try to give you one.

So between the two, my choice would be the LV one. As a brand, it has more staying power and you shd technically be able to resell for a decent cost if you decide that is what you want. My sister had a gucci canvas backpack and it didn't wear well. She used it very often for a yr and then not at all. I also feel that both of these bags had their moment 4-5 yrs ago. There are other offerings from both brands that will have a more classic vibe.
