A leave-in conditioner that will change my life?

Can anyone recommend one?

I have fine hair, and lots of it. Chin length. Naturally grey. It looks good after a blow dry but out of sorts on day two (a non-wash day). It tends towards frizzy and dry and wavy (not a good wavy).

Can anyone recommend something to help? I love the idea of something I can whack on in the evenings (or after a shower on a non-wash day). I much prefer a floral / soapy scent to citrus-type ones.

I'd pay up to £30 for a bottle or tube of something that will help.

Thanks in advance!

My hair is just like yours, except I don't have a lot of it and it's in the greasy side so I'm following with interest.

I've been alternating between the Toni and Guy and John Frieda ones and I think it's time for a change. I've tried most of L’Oréal but the cheap ones you buy at Boots and didn't like any of them, maybe it's time to spend a bit more.

One thing I found out to avoid lankiness is never to apply conditioner on the roots and I use a Tangle Teezer to distribute it evenly brushing as close as possible to the roots but not touching them

I like osmo products from Amazon - a spray miracle conditioner, a blow dry straightener cream and a hair mask are my go to.

Ecoslay rice pudding leave in. £30 but it lasts forever. If you want the whole hog get the banana cream deep conditioner which really is life changing.

Sounds like you have wavy hair that is desperate for moisture - it can be wavy in a good way!

Ecoslay

Ecoslay’ passion is hair care. They strive to use only the ingredients that are good for you because they believe that what you put ON your body is just as important as what you put IN it.

K18 will change your life. Believe me.

K18 will change your life. Believe me.

Oooh that's pricey! What's brilliant about it? I could definitely be tempted....

Reading about it, it's similar to Olaplex. But very pricey indeed

Cece92 · 29/12/2023 16:52

I have one for my daughter from Superdrug I need to find it. It for Afro hair my cousin actually recommended it. My daughters hair was really curly younger but now dry and wavy. I apply when wet and every day when brushing before straightening and it's made such a difference. That with a little hair oil. We do a hair mask once a week but leave it in all day. X

This is it

VanillaSox · 29/12/2023 15:34

This?

Yes. I already used Olaplex and my hairdresser used K18 on me - I could see the difference straight away.

You don't need much so it lasts

Hepzibar · 29/12/2023 18:30

@ruffles my hair is smooth, silky and dries like the hairdresser has done it. I always have one ready for when one is finishing.

Believe when I say I have tried everything- nothing comes close to this

Not a leave in conditioner but I absolutely swear by Moroccan Oil Serum. I have the best hair of my life and a lot of it /I put down to using this for a good few years.

Silverfoxette · 29/12/2023 19:55

You could also invest in a silk cap for your hair at bedtime. I’ve just ordered one from Blissy. Looking forward to trying it out

ChuckSpadina · 29/12/2023 20:18

Have a watch of some of the Blowout Professor videos on YouTube. Ive learnt a lot from him in the last couple of days (the joys of insomnia!). He absolutely swears by Pureologie's Color Fanatic Multi-tasking spray, £20.99 on amazon...i havent tried it myself though btw but it sounds good.

Super milk by Lush

Reporting back on this one! Unfortunately it hasn't really done anything to my hair. It does smell nice though! Thanks for the recommendation - definitely worth a try given that it worked a treat on your similar locks!

I've been using the Percy & Reid No Oil Oil, which I got in a beauty box and I like it very much.
I have fine, thin hair.

Thank you for the recommendation! I bought it and tried it but unfortunately it made my hair very greasy. Boo!

I got this one in the Liberty Advent Calendar this year, it's very good but pricey, maybe see if you can get a small unwanted AC one on eBay or Vinted?

Rina66 · 13/02/2024 09:52

Here's one...£4

I have the same hair. I'm a slave to it. Nuxe oil has worked well for me. It's pricey but comes in different sizes. Just a tiny amount smoothed over. They do a floral scent one too. It didn't leave my hair greasy at all and it looked amazing. Also milkshake conditioner suits me.
Avoid anything by cantu etc as it will be too heavy for wavy hair.

Rina66 · 13/02/2024 12:08

I like the Davines products too, their oil is fab, another Liberty AC gift but in 2022!

seasally · 13/02/2024 12:25

@Rina66 I think it was a Liberty AC that introduced me to the milk!

Rina66 · 13/02/2024 12:29

They're enablers @seasally 😂
