Help have returned an item to Next accidentally that was from another store

Took a load of online stuff back to Next and there was a jumper in the bottom of the bag from another shop but they sell it too. It wouldn’t go through but she over rode it so it did. I was sorting out the mountain of plastic that was in the bag and didn’t realise she’d pulled out the other jumper.I’ll never get the jumper back and it’s been credited to my account. Not sure what to do.

Just an update. Next have been fab. Spoke to store manager who remembered and was lovely. She said she’d done something similar but it had been collected. Spoke to Customer Service who were amazing. Apparently they’ve had other similar cases involving M&S now they’ve started selling other brands. I will be more careful in the future. She has refunded the amount to my account and was so so lovely too. This is one of the reasons I keep shopping there. All their staff are helpful and very approachable.

Oh that's good news OP. 60 quid would be a lot to lose on an innocent if foolish error. I can totally see how it happened.

I know. I do find they are great as regards customer service. I had another jumper that Evri lost and it missed the delivery date. Next sent a replacement, were very apologetic, refunded delivery and gave me £2.50 to send the other back if it turned up. It wasn’t their fault. No stress and their customer service staff are really lovely and helpful on the phone too.

I work there and she shouting have done that without seeing it on your account ( phone ) but it's busy we are all stressed and maybe she felt under pressure .

It's probably credited already tbh ( check your account )

This, it was OPs own fault (why put it in the bag with other items).
Gotta love how store has to sort out customer's mitakes with a smile on their face.
