Can’t find a warm long coat without a hood!

I really need a warm long (mid calf) coat but really don’t like hoods. I’ve looked at a lot of places online but they all have hoods. Any suggestions gratefully received. Ideally something casual as I have other more formal belted coats.

I don’t really see the point in a coat WITHOUT a hood. It rains all the time and I can’t be faffing about with an umbrella. I can’t afford multiple coats so my coat has to be warm, waterproof and….hooded!

This is an interesting post as I lament rain in my glasses…off to experiment with hats.

Watching this with interest as I feel the same. How many grown women wear hoods?

I wear one lots. They are simply better than umbrellas for keeping moisture away from your hair and don't crush it the way a hat does. Also warmer than umbrellas.

Eh? All I see are coats without hoods and I want a hood and pockets!
If you have hair that goes frizzy in moisture, live in Scotland and can't keep a brolly up in windy conditions, you really really need a hood 😀

I too have a superdry coat with a removable hood.

I took the hood off this past week as it’s been dry and it’s easier to get my bag on and off with no hood. That reminds me I need to put it back on now the weather’s gone wet again!

I've also got an 'add on' hood that I wear if I really have to....it's actually very useful even if it's a bit odd looking 😂

Only works if the hat has a proper brim.

I'm a grown woman. It rained today, and then it hailed.

I'm fucking mortified to now discover I commited a fashion faux pax by putting my hood up! Worse than that, I committed the sin of having a coat with a hood in the first place. Mortified I tell you!!

(Jesus Christ, do people really think like this?!)

Yes some people don't like hoods.
