Can’t find a warm long coat without a hood!

I really need a warm long (mid calf) coat but really don’t like hoods. I’ve looked at a lot of places online but they all have hoods. Any suggestions gratefully received. Ideally something casual as I have other more formal belted coats.

I can recommend the Joules Chatham coat. It has a hood but it's zips off easily.

I love Lands End for warm, long coats, and all my Lands End coats have removable hoods.

They are expensive, but very good quality. And they have very frequent sales.

It's very annoying getting caught in the rain with no hood

Too windy for brollies where I live although I do carry one just in case

I wasn't going to post on this thread as it's clearly not intended for someone like me, but since you've asked: This one does.

I will concede not if it's wool or tweed, but otherwise I think a coat designed for a UK winter with no hood is the very definition of useless.

I still hope you can find something you want.

I was specifically looking for a hooded long coat the other day. I love my hoods.

I have quilted coats like that but they are an inner detachable section of other coats.

I have this coat, and I love it. The hood is detachable (I don't like hoods either!). Joules coats can be a neat fit, but this one is a generous fit (I actually had to return my usual size and get the smaller):

You're quite wrong there. Witha hood I find it harder to hear my dc and the traffic, it's particularly awkward when crossing roads, and does nothing for keeping the rain off my glasses. So I tuck my hair up into a winter hat with a brim. I can see and hear children and traffic, and it keeps the rain off my glasses far better than a hood does. It was having dc that converted me to hats instead of hoods!

I bought this in black for me last year (and the jacket for DD the year before in navy)

I toook the hood off , DD kept hers .
I like that the padded buts are narrow , there's zipped pockets + and extra one for tickets or keys .
And no down/feather . But it is warm .

My new Perfect Parka (that I have searched years for ) has a hood , I wore it last night but I worry about covering my head and ears especially out late in town. I wouldn't hear who was behind me .
Though so many people walk about with earphones and Airpods and they manage ?
