I got a poxy hand cream not shower gel.

Hapagirl48 · 21/12/2023 08:40

There was also a L’Occitane hand cream a few days ago. Did you open the correct box?

Houseplanter · 21/12/2023 08:41

I've kept everything in the bag until now, but just sorted through and put them away or in the travel bag. Now it's empty the bag really is naff and will go in the bin.. not even worthy of the charity shops.

I'd prefer this to be in a cardboard box. At least I could recycle it.

Cheap and nasty.

MrsWidgerysLodger · 21/12/2023 08:41

Oh I love today's offering! I've had it before and the smell is really nice. It's nice and moisturising too.. Good to see a full sized bottle of it as well!

NeedWineNow · 21/12/2023 09:26

Today’s shower gel is excellent! One of the best days yet. Love L’Occitane shower gels and getting a full size is great.

I’m going against the grain here in that I like the bag! It’ll be fine for storage in my wardrobe and I’ve already earmarked it to use as a packing cube for holidays for my hairdryer, brush etc. I’d sooner have something that I can use rather than a cardboard box as previously.

Loving today's! I've not tried it before and I wouldn't usually buy an expensive shower gel for myself so it's been nice to try, I really love it. I'll definitely be buying this scent again, maybe in a set. Really happy with the advent calendar, it's well been worth it for the price.

Crap probably not 😄

WickerMam · 21/12/2023 10:11

I actually really liked the bag - I took the contents out straight away, and repurposed it to hold all my sewing kit. It was the perfect size for it. I've had the contents as a dwindling line of boxes on my windowsill, which is pleasing.

I haven't had an M&S one for a few years (switched to Look Fantastic) but M&S looked like better value this year, and I'm glad I got it. The only dud days for me have been the red nail varnish, brow gel, and cleanser.

GrannyAchingsShepherdsHut · 21/12/2023 10:34

Got my hopes up today when I saw the top of the bottle that it was the Almond shower oil that I want but can't afford!

But this seems nice, so I'm pleased. This is my first non chocolate advent calendar, I'm delighted with it overall.

My plan if I can keep the boxes from ripping is to put it on Olio for free? Someone else may like it to create an calendar another year?

Ahh packing cube ... that's a good idea

@BlackJumpsuit wipe excess off brush on side of bottle, swipe down centre of nail then fill in the sides
2 thin coats better than 1 thick one

Moofart · 21/12/2023 11:19

Today's is lovely. Enjoyed using it in the shower this morning :)

northbacchus · 21/12/2023 13:20

What does this shower gel smell of? Given it a whiff and it’s definitely reminding me of something.

I never thought I liked L’occitaine previously, it’s out of my budget for everyday but I may be a convert for gifts.

Houseplanter · 21/12/2023 13:30

I think it's a bit lemon washing up liquid tbh

Lemonademoney · 21/12/2023 17:12

Really enjoyed my shower this morning, pleased with todays.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 21/12/2023 17:20

Not used this before. I love their Verbena one. I wonder if it can be used as a bubble bath?

clowniform · 21/12/2023 17:31

I got the Verbena one @RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie which one is yours? I favour soaps but will have no trouble finding it a good home.

I'm going to fill my empty case with odd balls of yarn, so the softness will enable maximum stuffage.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 21/12/2023 19:43

Ooh - I haven't actually opened it yet. Just assumed it was different as people said it's really lemony.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 21/12/2023 19:45

Just checked and yes, it's verbena. Doesn't smell as nice as the bubble bath in the metal bottle, but looks good.

Winniespooh · 21/12/2023 20:14

Thrilled with today's - I'm nearly out of shower gel so this was timely!

greencheetah · 21/12/2023 20:24

I absolutely love these shower oils, although the almond is my favourite.

I am happy with the calendar overall.

What a brilliant idea! I will copy!!

SgtJuneAckland · 21/12/2023 21:31

I love l'occitane use the shower oils all the time, and like most of the shower gels too, I hate verbena! DH likes anything citrus so he's happy

@GrannyAchingsShepherdsHut look out on Amazon, very, look fantastic etc for the shower oil, the refill pouches are often good value. I did pay £23 for the rose and Shea oil which is lovely but it lasts a few months so I think it's decent value. I'm hoping for some for Christmas, DH and DM know it's a favourite and I'm down to about half a bottle

Lemonademoney · 22/12/2023 07:39

I wondered when we’d get something from their Apothecary range. I love this range but another a shame it’s another hand cream as I’ve only just opened the loccitane one. Overall though I’ve enjoyed this calendar and for £45 think it’s been decent value.
