Tundra they can be worn with most things.

catwithflowers · 01/12/2023 15:31

All other things being equal, I prefer the second pair. They look a bit smarter 😊

onegreyhair · 01/12/2023 18:18

I've just bought the Columbia Women's Slopeside Peak Snow Boots from Amazon which were slightly reduced for B Friday and they are lovely and comfy and warm. Also if you have Amazon Prime you can do Prime Try before you Buy. Be warned though, I think the sizes are the US sizes translated which I always find smaller, and I ended up with a 6 1/2, and I'm usually a 5-5 1/2. No idea how to link or post a pic, sorry.

If you have the budget, Ugg Adirondacks. As a British expat who has been in Northern Canada for the last 12 years, I rate them highly. They keep my feet dry and warm even when standing around outside for a couple of hours in -20 and below.

Ice crystal ones

fridaynight1 · 02/12/2023 23:28

Tundra. The grip looks better and they look more expensive. I'd be concerned about the fur on the Crystal ones getting soggy and going smelly when wet.

MorrisZapp · 02/12/2023 23:42

I've tried Sorel but find them weirdly wide from the back, as if you've got cankles.

I've got some lovely Merrell snow boots with fur at the top but I wouldn't choose them again because you can only wear your jeans rolled up over the fur, unless you wear a wide leg which will soak up the wet anyway.

Hesma · 03/12/2023 07:32

Tundra ones, I don’t like the white fur on the others

Ramalangadingdong · 03/12/2023 08:09

Tundra looks sturdier and with great grip.

Payakan · 03/12/2023 08:50

The first ones!

highlandcoos · 03/12/2023 11:37

I'd go for the Tundra ones as they look to have the better grip. My boots are by Technica and they even work on ice.

highlandcoos · 03/12/2023 11:54

Sorry, "Tecnica"

SmudgeButt · 08/12/2023 18:58

I like the look of the Ice Crystal ones in part because I don't like white soles on boots or shoes. And it's a better price of course.

But the only thing that actually matters is which are more comfortable?

That said I've never in my life of a good 30 some odd years of walking around in snow ever ever ever had a pair of boots that were actually waterproof.

floofbag · 08/12/2023 19:01

Second ones but I've got fit flop ones
And just bought sorel kinetic for £100 which are much nicer imo

Salome61 · 08/12/2023 19:01

I think the Tundra but my daughter didn't like the very similarly styled Columbia boots I bought her, she said the ankle part was too stiff.

CassKins · 09/12/2023 00:12

think both are great! no help!

ladygindiva · 09/12/2023 00:19

The first ones are lovely

TiredMumma247 · 09/12/2023 09:52

Tundra ones are more classic than the other ones.
