Because £195 is too much.

But I love it and nothing else compares!

That's lovely

FormerlyPathologicallyHappy · 25/11/2023 16:30

Just buy it.

MMAMPWGHAP · 25/11/2023 20:05

I am, by chance, wearing the Celtic & Co one linked to earlier as I type. Bought a year ago today on last year’s Black Friday John Lewis discount. V warm & I love it.

Avacardo2023 · 25/11/2023 21:22

When you first posted this I thought it's ok but nothing special, then I made the mistake of looking at it properly on the toast website and now it's all I want!

Essie274 · 25/11/2023 21:54

Bloody hell, OP. I want it now.

ladygindiva · 25/11/2023 22:10

I saw a similar one in new look the other day

ladygindiva · 25/11/2023 22:11

Definitely cheaper. I remember feeling it and being surprised how unitchy it felt.

And now I've thought 'what's she talking about - it's just a grey jumper' so I too have looked at it on the website proper and it's not just a grey jumper at all! Doooooomed.

ShangPie · 25/11/2023 22:24

Bosie fair isle knits in a range of gorgeous colours

Donegal knit in grey with no yoke design

Carrier company gorgeous knits

But really OP, just buy the one you love! Ask for Xmas gift vouchers, check out the cashback sites for extra £ off, make it happen!!

garlicandsapphires · 25/11/2023 22:24

Ooh I love it OP! I am myself tempted.
If you truly love it and will wear it loads, think of it in cost-per-wear terms

EllaPaella · 25/11/2023 22:39

chalkyc2 · 25/11/2023 09:12

God I'm tempted just to get it!

What's the sizing like @beezerbum ? If I'm say an M&S medium/14?

I have this jumper in orange. I'm a size 10 and small is generous.

JumpingDizzy · 25/11/2023 15:53

That's lovely

It is, isn't it? I really want it but the last mohair jumper I bought triggered my asthma really badly. But for that money, maybe I could risk it.

chalkyc2 · 25/11/2023 23:25

Haha have I a caused a rush on toast jumpers and we're all off selling on vinted to get funds! Why of toast Black Friday?!?

I just love the colours. None of the brighter white fair isle on grey work for me. And the shape, I need to see it in real life!

Just get everyone you know to club together for your Christmas present towards it.

You won’t like anything else as much: the shape with the loose bottom, the colour flecks in the grey etc: JFDI.

I agree. In the past I have settled for second best in something I've loved, and it's just not the same. That jumper really is lovely, and if you think you will wear it a lot then buy it - and tighten your belt afterwards Smile

A good idea to ask family/friends to perhaps donate a little towards it.

Togekiss · 26/11/2023 00:23

I’m in the boat for buy it (if you can afford it, obviously), as well.

I find when you get those items that you yearn over nothing ever comes close and you’re always wishing you had x instead of y.

It’s a classic, timeless piece. As long as you look after it, it’ll last you for years.

I was in a similar boat last year when I really wanted a pair of Doc Martens. Luckily for me, my partner bought me them for Christmas and I still absolutely adore them. Nothing would have ever came close to them.

Do you have a partner/family member who would get you it for Christmas or be willing to contribute towards it? A lot of folk would find that a nice gift to give, as they’d rather contribute towards something they know you’ll love and it saves them the faff of looking for things. Just an idea!

Togekiss · 26/11/2023 00:29

Oh and the jumper really is gorgeous.

Usually when folk link clothes on here they aren’t my cup of tea at all, but it is really beautiful.

It evokes images of leather bound old books and peat burning on an open fire to me. I really like how they’ve styled it on the website, too. It’s really effortless.

LunaTheCat · 26/11/2023 01:31

Oh it’s gorgeous! If you can go for it- nothing else will ever be the same!

WhoStoleYourHighHorse · 26/11/2023 07:23

Oh that really is gorgeous - just relieved it's not available in my size.

BrimfulOfMash · 26/11/2023 08:54

And if you want it OP (you do, we can tell…) get it. Toast don’t always stock things in huge numbers or for long periods.

And the temperature is dropping. The more wear you get, the better the value.

Tiddlywinkly · 26/11/2023 09:24

Darn it op. I too looked closer at the Toast site. God, that speckling is gorgeous!

Brackenfield · 26/11/2023 18:11

Further enabling, I have their Donegal easy sweater and it's too hot to wear if the heating has been on that day, so you'll save on bills 😅🫣

lenalove · 30/11/2023 11:22

Damn it OP, I think I am going to have to buy it 😋absolutely love the speckling!

chalkyc2 · 30/11/2023 14:13

I know - I'm still not able to spare £200!! But I keep looking at it!

uncomfortablydumb53 · 30/11/2023 14:59

It's a gorgeous jumper and would last years
Do toast do pay in 3 to spread the cost?
PayPal x3 has been so useful to me this year
Otherwise could you ask for cash for Christmas?
Once you set your heart on something, nothing else will do!
