How to dress like a frazzled English woman?

Looks like the latest trend is the "Frazzled English woman" and I for one; am ecstatic.

Bridget Jones, Love Actually and the Holiday seem to be the inspo, so tell me, what are your tips for being frazzled English women?

So far mine are:

• not brushing my hair for 24 hours
• only having enough time to put on mascara and nothing else
• wearing my one scarf that's far too long for me
• having my long socks peak out the top of my boots because it's bloody freezing
• forgetting my glasses and spending my day squinting seductively at my computer screen

DH usually applies my herbal hair dye for me, but he has some work to finish. Will only take 20 minutes, but my hair dye arrived today and I've been waiting a couple of weeks for it, my grey roots are horrendous.

Just gone ahead and mixed it up and slapped it on. Hope I haven't missed any bits. DH uses a tinting brush and divides my hair into sections and so on. Not me! Far too spontaneous and impulsive. Just couldn't wait another minute!

Will probably end up looking like a piebald horse 😂

Not sure if I've made it up with the right proportions either... it says mix and get rid of lumps..well mine was lumpy and I just chucked it on. We'll see!

I’ve now lost track of which poster is getting at whichever poster. Which is a shame because the thread was amusing before it turned into who doesn’t “get” the “meta”.
