It's freezing cold here. I'm looking for a fleecy jacket or jumper with these features

  • ultra soft and warm inside - so not a 'rough' unlined fleece.
  • no hoods
  • blue, light grey or cream but open to suggestions
  • ideally sort of smart looking in the way that Gaastra fleeces or designer fleeces can be. I don't actually know what the reason for the difference in look is - I think maybe the nap of the fleece is smoother or something so it looks less lumpy after a wash - but they look more 'expensive' and less tired Eastenders woman down the laundrette.
  • warm, warm and warm again.

I miss my gaastra fleeces but that said they weren't ultra soft inside.

Anyone got any suggestions please.

I love Aclima because their clothes are merino wool but they somehow look like sweatshirts on the outside. Inside they have lovely fuzziness similar to the way normal sweatshirts feel at first but unlike them, the fuzziness remains.

Look at Patagonia - they are lovely

Just a thought OP, have you had a look on Vinted? There is some Gaastra stuff on there.

I have a Rab jacket, not fleece outside but fleece inside.
I love Passenger, another walking brand but I have a contrast hood hoody of there's and they don't pile.

Also Cotopaxi. They are also good. I have one and it doesn't like shabby after a wash.

As you can see I'm also a fan of bright colours and more sustainable brands

That’s just what I was looking for!!

Land’s End used to do some very nice fleeces presentable enough to be used in the office. I used to have a red and a black one and loved them.

They were a bit like This but shorter and in plain bright colours.
