Chapped lips

Hello,

I have the most chapped and dry lips. I’m trying to drink a lot more water (which is translating to cups of tea currently!!) but I’m wondering if anyone can recommend any products? I.e. lip scrubs or balms.

usually tend to use Vaseline or Carmex…

anything else for me to consider?

Might be worth considering it could be your toothpaste? Only certain ones don’t dry my lips out. I find brushing my teeth then washing my face helps as it removes any excess toothpaste. If my lips start getting dry it’s usually because I picked up a different type.

Drinking lots of water a day doesn’t really hydrate your skin. The whole 8 glasses of water a day is a bit of a myth and only based on one scientific paper.

Balmond’s skin balm is the only thing that I’ve found makes a reliable difference to very dry lips. Just out it on a few times a day.

Interesting about the 8 glasses of water a day making little diff to skin.

another thing I’ve started is marine collagen (Revive) it’s pretty pricey though and I’m currently waiting until pay day to replenish but it made a huge diff to my skin and hair in as little as 3 weeks

Some toothpastes cause a reaction. I wash my face after brushing my teeth.
