Yes I have those trainers and love them! I am defo a trainers and dress person. This is why I have the wobbles about the dress I think!

Tbh I think I'm gonna just try find a different dress! And keep this one for another day! 🤣

WEAR THE DRESS!

The gold shoes gave the dress the wrong (Jane McDonald) impression. Don’t get me wrong, Ms McD is a goddess and (rightly) an icon for a Cruiser. This is not you. Don’t wear the heels.

With knackered, battered trainers, that dress will be awesome. Dunno why it makes a difference, but it does and I don’t make the rules.

Honestly, don't like the dress at all, too fussy and think you might only wear it once because it stands out so much. As for wearing it to a rave 😬

Meant to add that you have a great figure and could really carry off a more casual/looser look if that makes sense.

I know it's very marmite, hence my hesitation!
I regularly wear baggy jeans and a t shirt (in life and raving) but sometimes I wear different styles. My post isn't about being it being suitable for the event. If I decide I like and will keep I'd wear it loads. I'd wear it out for dinner, to other club events, I'd even wear it for Sunday lunch in the pub if I was in a dress up mood. I'm not bothered if others think I'm over dressed, that's their issue not mine!

I didn't like it in the first pic, but actually it looks really nice in you OP. You look great. I'd wear that if it looked as good in me x
