I need a vanilla perfume! Any experts about??

Am considering a blind buy of Laura Mercier's Vanille, can't get to a John Lewis at the moment and our Boots don't stock it.

I already have Milk Musk by Molten Brown but there's something in there that I really don't get along with, plus it really doesn't last. I like a mature, sensual scent, can be gourmand, but I would prefer non-unisex.
I want a warm hug with a bit of ambiguity. Sweet yet subtle. Somewhat multifaceted, but each note needs to sing. So this is a winter thing, so not particularly fresh but not oriental either.

Perfumes that I just don't get along with or fade too quickly:
By the Fireside (just harsh on me).
All Byredo and Diptyque!
All Jo Malone.
Chanel and Dior.

What I do get along with, at least historically:
Cookies and Cashmere (clinique?).
Body Shop's blue musk - but it does not last aaagh!
Orange soleia by Guerlain (but for summer only, and again no longevity).
Some rose scents.

I am not a perfume snob and love Lidl's Chantou, it actually sticks around, but it isn't quite 'me'. I am happy to pay up to £80 or thereabouts.

Un Bois Vanille every time - warm and delicious without the amber that infests so many vanilla perfumes.

Diptyque Eau Duelle is a dry grown up vanilla.

I found the Laura Mercier vanille wore off almost instantly. It's a bit like the body shop vanilla spray.

Ariana Grande has a nice one, called Mod vanilla.

Look at oliviaolfactory on Instagram. She has recently talked about vanilla.
I love vanilla in perfume. I love Vanilla Vibes by Juliette has a Gun but I would say it's a summer scent.
I love Coffee Break by Maison Margiela but not much staying power.
I bought Starlight Vanilla from Zara. I like it but it's not a very sophisticated take on vanilla.
Sometimes I layer Kayali Vanilla with other perfumes to boost the vanilla.

Best summer vanilla I ever had was a Shalimar flanker, Shalimar Eau Legere.

I like this and use it regularly. Despite the name it's not like vanilla essence, just a very nice perfume.

Is the Diptyque Eau Duelle very masculine?

I don’t think it is, but perfume is very subjective, so YMMV.

Sylvaine Delacourte has a vanilla range, my fave is Valkyrie which is quite heady with vanilla and sandalwood. They do a £10 sample box but it's out of stock at the moment.

Holy crap, perfumes have got expensive!

But I bought mine in TK Maxx so it's worth keeping an eye out there.

Manifesto or Manifesto l'Elixir by Yves Saint Laurent

Very adult and chic, not juvenile vanilla. I'm not really a vanilla lover but Manifesto is so good even non-vanilla lovers love it.

I really recommend Eilish if you liked clinique cookies and kisses/cocoa
and cashmere. It’s really affordable as well!

Carolina Herrera VIP 212 is rum and vanilla and smells delicious

Yet another vote for Kayali Vanilla. It's a very pure vanilla and it lasts forever.

Among my favourites are Jean Paul Gaultier's La Belle, a delicious sweet pear and vanilla, and Guerlain's Shalimar which is a gorgeous sexy, smoky vanilla.

I came to suggest this - I am a big fan of vanilla scents and this is my every day, I love it.

Vanilla Fields was a Boots special at £6 a bottle. It was the fragrance of my adolescence and was discontinued by my 30's (am 50 now). I've never forgiven them!
