Work's a bit of a sh*t show lately 😫

Good news: I'm getting promoted. 3-4 years earlier than anticipated (our promotions are age-based).

Bad news is that I'm getting promoted because I've realized I'm going through workplace harassment and have lodged a formal complaint. HR hasn't taken any other steps yet (except for pronto promoting me several hours after I've spoken to them) and the hiring market doesn't look too promising (couldn't find same benefits anywhere so far after a month or so of looking).
This too shall pass.

@faffadoodledo That dress is lovely and the shoes are DIVINE. I think the black trim + the narrow V neckline + the longer short-sleeve keep it the right side of more formal, and black florals are always great for a bit of daytime drama in winter.
Would love to see the final look when you add your jacket!

I seem to have subconsciously reverted to the uniform of in-house legal (jeans + jacket). I’m wondering what to do with my pre-Covid office wear. I can’t imagine going back to wearing dresses and heels any time soon.

Hi! I thought page 1 of a new thread might be a good place to join in 😊 I've been trying to do the cultivated closet book, first step is daily photos and I've really enjoyed doing that, as well as checking you all out on here every so often- now to be brave and commit!

Thursday is office wear, which is casual, but my other days are either WFH or preschooler wrangling, so I normally make a bit more effort. Today is more casual though.
Jeans- ASOS design
Tshirt- Zara (white, these are dark mirrors)
Cardigan- t k Maxx, first wear today
Shoes- new from next, rubbing a bit unfortunately

@EllaPaella thanks! I got the book as I read it was for those who have a cupboard full of clothes and nothing wear- seemed to sum me up well. But it's a book that guides you to pinpointing your style- not what suits you or looks good, but is your style- so if you have a clear idea already, it's probably a waste of time.

Dress from Vince with All Saints slip dress over the top. Soooo windy here - had to wear a hat to walk the dog as it was raining and my hood wouldn’t stay up and it’s defo not brolly weather. Doggies not impressed - ruffles their flappy ears, lol.
