Where can I get a bag like this that will last?

I love everything about it, except that it doesn't last. Perhaps because I overload it with things, but that's not going to change. I don't travel light! I've had two of the same bag now and both times zips have broken and interior stitching has come lose. I would love to find something the same style but more durable. Does anyone have any ideas?

What I need:

• rucksack style (two shoulders, big enough)
• smart enough for workwear as an adult, so not school backpack material. Ideally leather or faux leather, or if not then at least some nice pattern.
• Back fastening (the zip up pocket that you wear against your back is the main compartment)
• lots of compartments. I hate bags that have only a couple of sections

Any suggestions, please? I am willing to pay for one that will last. I have other bags at home but none of them suit me perfectly except this one (other than that it falls apart after a few months!).

maybe not quite perfect, and a wee bit spendy, but made by real people in a workshop you can visit, and customisable to your spec.

@Fink , I'm.looking for almost exactly the same fir my stylish DD- although needs to be able to carry an A3 sketch pad and 14" laptop. Also want the "anti theft' opening as using o the tube and central London. Following with interest!

Hi @Fink Most of the bits I have purchased from Ali express are fine. Neither great nor appalling. One or two have been really nice
and others, not great at all.

I also have a Radley leather backpack and can recommend; I got it on Vinted (and I sold a load of the DCs' clothes so it was essentially free).

I've had a leather backpack from Pure Luxuries for a couple of years. It's regularly stuffed, still looks good and the leather is getting softer without looking cracked and tatty. Very happy with it and with the discount, they are a decent price.

That’s pretty rude considering OP has been using it for a long time!

The ones in your second link all seem really tiny when posed on the model.

I have a miatui Stanley which holds up well for the money. I've love a Knomo bag but can't justify the price just now.

Ha ha. I did notice that comment and shrugged that there's no accounting for taste. I specifically asked for a bag that looks a lot like the Amazon one I already have (i.e. I clearly like that bag), but longer lasting, and was told that it's a horrible bag. 😅

Lots more suggestions last night and today. I was only expecting a couple of responses. Thank you so much for all the lovely bags, there are some really nice ones out there. I will choose carefully!

@Fink for quality I would recommend Italian full grain leather from somewhere that specialises in the craft and uses leather actually sourced in Italy.
