Where can I get a bag like this that will last?

I love everything about it, except that it doesn't last. Perhaps because I overload it with things, but that's not going to change. I don't travel light! I've had two of the same bag now and both times zips have broken and interior stitching has come lose. I would love to find something the same style but more durable. Does anyone have any ideas?

What I need:

• rucksack style (two shoulders, big enough)
• smart enough for workwear as an adult, so not school backpack material. Ideally leather or faux leather, or if not then at least some nice pattern.
• Back fastening (the zip up pocket that you wear against your back is the main compartment)
• lots of compartments. I hate bags that have only a couple of sections

Any suggestions, please? I am willing to pay for one that will last. I have other bags at home but none of them suit me perfectly except this one (other than that it falls apart after a few months!).

I did a reverse image search on Ali Express and found this… It’s basically the same bag and there are many variations. (Pls note Aussie dollar.)

Do you have any experience shopping with them? Do you think it would be more durable than the Amazon one?

A leather backpack will last a lot longer than a plastic one.

Don't think they would match your criteria but Rains have some great backpacks.

The amazon bag is horrible, and doesn't look built to last.

Either get a leather bag or use a bag like the Eastpak Pack'r. They look a bit like schoolbags but they are comfortable, durable and can take a lot of stuff.

Radley is a good suggestion, but I'd think long and hard about what you need to carry in it. No bag will last long if you carry too much in it.

The Ali Express will be either identical to or worse than the Amazon one.

I have this Kroser backpack. It has lots of compartments. A big one for my laptop, a medium one for my iPad and then 6 other compartments, 3 inside and 3 outside. Two of which are zipped.

I bought it for £15 3 years ago and it's still going strong.

This one is a plain black, but other comparies do a tan pleather version of it.

Some great ideas on here, thank you all. I'll look at reviews etc in more detail before deciding, but I'm definitely glad I asked rather than just buying another of the Amazon ones I already have!

I'm a smitten with the middle one you posted @notlucreziaborgia , but I'd need to look at how to carry drinks bottles. I usually carry a water bottle and a coffee cup. If that one had had a drinks holder, I would have ordered it already. It's gorgeous!

I heartily recommend flat water bottles, a revelation. Makes carrying work stuff so much easier. Does look a bit like you're swigging from a hip flask though.

I have the a7 memobottle and it’s perfect for every bag, but very much looks like a hip flask. The tiny size doesn’t help.

I need a new backpack for work and have my eye on this one. I've not bought it yet so not sure how durable etc but I like the look of it.

I got a samsonite backpack a year ago and it's been amazing. So much easier to carry my work laptop etc around in than in a standard laptop bag. Loads of compartments too and comfortable straps.

Personally I would avoid leather and go for one of these which has capacity for laptop and water bottle etc. You are also getting a free umbrella that has a specific place for it. Long lasting and weather proof.
