do I just buy GHD ?

I have recently started to grow my v short bob into a slightly longer look and now need to get some decent straighteners to help keep it looking sleek and shiny especially in between washes.
Do I need to pay for GHD or can I get something cheaper ?

Would love some recommendations from people who use them regularly !

Thanks

i've got another thread going - but does anyone know where to get decent (but not £££££££) USB charging straightners?

I've got the Babyliss 9000 cordless ones, I got them for £50 over the summer but looks like they're around £100 at the moment. They're not comparable to corded straighteners IMO but they do the job.

GHD 💯.
Had my first GHD in the mid noughties and they lasted 10 years. Then I had cheaper straighteners for a few years which were definitely inferior, before going back to GHD about 4 years ago. Not regretted it.

these are not USB (Universal voltage Includes 3 pin UK and 2 pin EU adapter.)

I have some Cloud 9 Cordless, but they are pin plug as well, I'm looking for USB charging

My Remington ones have lasted years & been brilliant.

I got the retro irons from Cloud 9, they are amazing. They were £99 but after I got them annoyingly they went down to £79!

I have GHD’s and bought some Remington Proluxe as a back up and for holidays-have to say I’m really impressed with them and use them more than the GHD’s.

TheGirlWhoLived · 13/09/2023 21:08

I have and love my ghd’s but like many others I’ve had them for 15 years! I’ve heard that cloud 9 are much better than ghd for new ones so I’d be really stuck if/when mine die

Had my GHDs for years and swore by them but they broke, way past a decade old. My sister lent me an interim Remington set but they were never as good so I went out and got replacement GHDs but they were t as good as the pair that broke. I sold them on Facebook and got some Cloud 9s and wow, they are amazing and worth every penny.

I have fine naturally straight hair that is prone to frizz.
