Colour Analysis

I am thinking about getting this done but would be disappointed if I found out the deep blues and greens I wear were the wrong colour - just wondered whether anyone has had this done and either did not agree or was disappointed that the colours that suited you were not the ones you would naturally choose?

Obviously, you can wear any colour.

Anyone recommend a particular organisation?

Smook Styling is great - she does online consultations and I found it great.

I had mine done by Capsule Closet Stylist. She has real experience having done it for over 20 years! I found so many had done a two-week course and then called themselves a stylist/colour consultant! You have to be really careful and check their experience. Anyway, it was a game changer for me so much so my mate is having the same service done now! She also does a body shape style guide as part of the package too. It tells you what cits and styles suit you alongside the colours.

I would love to but the ones in my area seem to have really outdated websites.

I have tried to match myself online but I'm such an odd colouring, I can't figure it out.

I don't suit dark or light hair - but mid toned warm hair, yet have light olive skin and blue eyes which can change from dark grey blue to light green blue.

It’s not just about your colours eg warn blue or cool blue.

It’s also about the amount of contrast you can take. If you suit mid tone hair, and have mid tone skin and eyes, your natural colouring sounds like low contrast so you need to reflect that in your clothes. Otherwise high contrast clothing eg white top and black bottoms or bold stripes might overwhelm you. People will see your clothes and your face will be lost. Or it might look cheap and a bit garish.

You might need low contrast , like a soft blue top and mid blue bottoms, or a print that has soft blended colours , even if it’s a bolder pattern.

Whereas someone with your olive skin tone and very dark hair and eyes might be high contrast , so they need to reflect that in their clothes of they will look washed out and a bit boring.
