Seriously considering getting this done but feeling nervous. Please can I see yours? Are you pleased with it? Do you regret it?

MetaverseMavis · 11/08/2023 01:34

Had my lip blush top up today. Love love love it. Subtle but makes a difference

Mmhmmn · 11/08/2023 01:43

I just can't imagine permanent eyeliner being a good look (?)

There's some horrendous posts of Facebook where they have had it done in black and it's faded to blue.

nzeire · 11/08/2023 01:49

It’s so expensive too (for eyeliner). And to redo every year.

not sure it’s worth it (for me) for a subtle difference?

SilverCatStripes · 11/08/2023 02:01

Why not give yourself the opportunity to love your face exactly as it Mother Nature made it?

You are beautiful and perfect exactly as you are !

astarsheis · 11/08/2023 06:58

I've had my eyelash line tattooed and really like it. it gives more depth to my eyes when not wearing makeup. I paid £250 and then £50 for top up 6 weeks later. Will get it done again when it has faded.
Not sure about a lip blush tho.

Stop being so fucking sanctimonious. We're grown women and can do whatever we fucking like with our faces and bodies. Now piss off unless you have something to add to what the OP is asking about.

My lips were perfect when I was 20/25/30/40. Now I'm in my 60s they are very faded and look smaller than they used to do. Lip blush sorted that out. They look perfectly natural and take years off me.

They look great! How long do they last? My eyebrows fade fairly quickly

abcdefghijklmnopandthatsit · 11/08/2023 22:09

I rarely wear make up but had my eyeliner done about three months ago. The first time it was done, it made little difference so I had a top up a month ago and think I will need another one before it is finally done.
Nonetheless, I like it. It just gives my eyes more definition. I thought they were beginning to be quite hooded and, whilst it has obviously not made any change to the shape of the eye, they look more awake.
Mine is just along the upper lid of my eye. No flicks out at the end or anything.

OneMoreCookieMonster · 11/08/2023 22:24

Love love love mine. I have a full face semi permanent make up. Eyebrows, lash line, water line (very subtle only the outside corners to enhance) and lip blush. Can wait for my top ups.

Tailfeather · 11/08/2023 22:33

I had my eyeliner done upper and lower with small wings and I love it. Especially on holiday when I have my lashes tinted and don't have to worry about make up the whole week.

Tailfeather · 11/08/2023 22:36

I've just tried to take a non-outing photo! This is with no make up or mascara (looks better with mascara or eyelash tint!)

I am a semi permanent make up artist

Done properly it's absolutely amazing but please research your artist as there's some not so good ones about

Lip blush isn't really a solid block of colour but more of a wash of colour that also defines the shape of your lips. When I do lip blush on my clients it's the definition that makes the most difference. Eyeliner I only recommend getting your top line done as the bottom line rarely looks good imo and also can visually close the eye.

My work is my actual passion so please Feel free to ask me anything!

I really like my lash line tattoo and will get it done again when it has faded. It gives my eyes more definition. I nearly 60 and am not into Botox or fillers so this is my way of enhancing one of my best features as I have quite large eyes.

I would consider a lip blush too.
Question for you...Is it drying on the lips?

bellac11 · 12/08/2023 09:11

Im considering this too, Ive been given some recommenations by a colleague but too scared!

ifyougochasingrabbits · 12/08/2023 09:15

@astarsheis I'm glad you like your liner ! It really does make a big difference and opens the eyes

No lip blush isn't drying however if you do get it done I advise two weeks before exfoliating your lips daily and applying a hydrating lip balm or even better an oil like coconut oil. This really primes your lip skin for the treatment and helps get best results

Wannabebree · 12/08/2023 09:31

Middleagedmeangirls your lips look fantastic. They look larger and more defined. Do they keep to the borders of the natural lip line or go outside of it?

Is it painful to have your lips done? I've just had my eyebrows tattooed and that was fine but I know that lips are much more sensitive.

How long does a lip blush last?

Tailfeather your eyes look great. It's a lovely thin line and looks very natural.

Wannabebree · 12/08/2023 09:39

ifyougochasingrabbits does the colour totally disappear after a time with semi-permanent make-up? I like my eyebrows but they're slightly larger than I wanted. I'm worried that the brown will fade to a dull grey and I'll be left with this shape forever!

Dorsetbeach · 12/08/2023 10:09

@ifyougochasingrabbits I was considering having the lip blush, as I always use lip liner to define my lips and to make them look fuller, but would be really nice not to have to bother so much. A friend of mine had it done with a trainee artist and said that it was not recommended for those with dry lips, as it doesn't take well, but also makes your lips even drier. Is this true? I have very dry lips 😬

With filler right? Because those lips are twice the size with allegedly just the colour.

Middleagedmeangirls · 12/08/2023 12:02

@ZolaBudd

Absolutely no filler! I'm not averse to an intervention but I draw the line at fillers for some illogical reason.

as you age the pigmentation around your lip line fades so the lips appear smaller. I asked the MUA to replicate my natural lip colour as closely as possible and she took it out to my natural, original lip line. I think she contoured the colour to give the illusion of fullness. I don't know how she got the cupids bow so defined - I don't remember it looking that good when I was younger.

@Wannabebree it didn't hurt as much as microblading nut she used a lot of numbing cream.

It's hard to say for sure but done correctly with modern pigments they should massively fade after 18 months to 3 years

If you want to private message me a pic I can have a look for you ? As some types of pigments don't ever fully fade however there are options for removal x
