One Hundred Stars sale is on

Just had an email, the One Hundred Stars sale is now on. Some of the dressing gowns are around half price, there are other items reduced, but it’s often the gowns that are recommended on here. It’s down to S&B I found them in the first place 😊anyway I’ve just ordered the Indian lily which was £35.

I have one of their robes. I’ve washed it numerous times in the machine on the hand wash setting and ironed it on a gentle heat. It comes out like new each time.

@FlouncingBabooshka is yours almost totally see-through? Mine also has lots of loose threads etc and it just looks like it hasn't been finished well. I wonder if it is a dodgy piece

I wouldn’t call it almost totally see-through @Pigtailsandall but the fabric is very sheer. Put it this way, I love wearing it, it looks beautiful and feels lovely but I wouldn’t feel comfortable answering the front door in it. I think it maybe feels a bit less see-through than some others because the background colour is a very dark blue.

No loose threads and I’d say it looks very well made. Maybe you’ve been unlucky or maybe I’ve just been lucky?

I love it so ordered a couple of things in the sale but will be sending them back - a lovely kaftan - which would be great for a luxury beach holiday somewhere very hot but sadly I don’t go on those and it’s too big and long to be of much use to me - and one of the Rachel dresses which was just a bit frumpy and, I felt, put about a decade on me!

I was exactly the same with the Rachel dress I dont know who its aimed at. I looked like a sack of potatoes ans I thought it was insipid. Spent £5 sending it back as well.

Rachel works on me (tall, hourglass, 14-16). I get lots of compliments in it. Idgaf about frumpy as my usual style veers towards maximalist/ bag lady and frumpy sounds like it might be a notch up from that!

I also think frumpy is perhaps more a state of mind than a look.... My main problem with dresses is avoiding matronly/ wench and Rachel manages that.

Arghh, I'm dithering over the Rachel tops (and Rachel dresses) can't decide whether or not to risk it. They look so amazing on the models, of course.

That’s odd @EachandEveryone! I know they were inundated in the sale. Make sure you email and call them. Did you have a proof of postage receipt? Really sorry to hear that.

FWIW the Abbi dress worked well on my lumpy size 20 body.
