I've only just discovered this brand and love it! I've bought 6 tops, all loose cotton in lovely colours. Two are patterned and the others are plain. Cost me a total of £72 and that's my summer wardrobe sorted 🙂

They also wash well, haven't shrunk and don't need ironing if hung up straight away.

I dont like one size fits all. They usually only fit people at the top end of the scale.

I've never really understood what it means to be a 'one size fits all' clothes range.

If it really means that people of any size up to x will fit into it, and the larger you are the tighter the fit will be, then surely ... all clothes are like that.

Thinking about it now, perhaps it is to appeal to people who do not want to think too much about what size they now need & will be grateful if they can find anything that they fit into will be glad to give these a try.

@JoeLovesGina don't feel bad. I didn't know about their provenance, now I do. So your thread had spread the word!

Thank you. And a good point!

To those who are querying the fit, I'm a 14-16 and find the neckline and sleeve length perfect for someone who's knocking on a bit.

There is always a stall selling this kind of clothes at the local market all over Italy. The clothes always look very comfortable and they are generally made of linen or cotton gauze.😀

Yes I have one in white which is 100% linen from a market in Sicily, sadly DS2 got pasta sauce on it (very Italian!) and it's left a stain.

@NatashaDancing there's no need to be so snippy about other people's taste. I've had loads of compliments about these tops. I don't like the top you linked to either but don't feel the need to slag it off.

The first post on this thread is odd. It reads like an over enthusiastic marketing bot although the poster has a posting history.

The tops linked to are dull in shape and colour and are at the very bottom end of supermarket clothing.

Style is subjective and I much prefer this sort of simple silhouette to fussy floral designs.

VimtoVimto · 08/07/2023 10:55

I’ve seen these clothes both here and in Italy and wondered why they were cheap but assumed it was because of the simplicity of the design. Looking at the seams of one of their dresses I noticed that the stitch used was longer than that used in normal seams.

TreesAtSea · 08/07/2023 11:24

I've often seen these clothes and liked them, though never bought any because the sizing is no good for me, particularly as I'm quite short.

I love the simplicity of the designs and the fabric, though haven't seen many in darker colours which I'd prefer. I look awful in anything remotely fussy.

I had no idea about the Chinese link either. Making your own based on the ones you have is a great idea.

Put Ace bleach on it, wash it and hang it out in full sun and the mark will have gone.

Thanks, I'll give it a try.

Their stuff is very hit and miss, lots of it shapeless but shapeless and drapey if done well can look good sometimes.
I have a favourite cardi I got years ago in a market stall in Spain which is "Made in Italy". I had no idea about the factories at the time but makes sense.

Thank you very much for the article recommendation, @Marezydotes. I bought two very comfy and soft (and certainly not overly cheap) linen dresses over the weekend in a small independent seaside boutique and only noticed later that these were produced in Prato. This article is a real eye opener.
