As the the title says, I want to learn how to do my own blow drys... is it possible with a normal hairdryer and non-trained hands?

Any tips? How-to guides ?

I think we need more info from @amymel2016. Your hair is gorgeous! My hair is completely flat and and I'd love it to look like yours. Do you just use three Velcro rollers?

The big hair is notorious for breaking down. I loved mine but when it broke, I didn’t replace it

Another vote for the Babyliss Big Hair. Am on my second - they do seem to conk out eventually, and when I rush the process it's not so good, but if you take your time and section hair, it's pretty effective.

I'm also very interested in the Denman brush. My hair is quite short, a chin length bob, but I'm letting it grow. Do you think it'd work for shorter hair?

Yes dd has Bob length hair. She can dry the ends blunt, curled under or flicked out with it. Ds uses it on his fringe

this is how I use it, I am not an octopus and I am very unco-ordinated and I haven’t been taught how - there may be better ways to use it.
I do section mine off because it’s thick. I use a clip to hold the majority on my head, use the brush to clamp a section together, pull it down slowly so your smoothing and straightening the hair,
using the hair dryer on the straight bit that’s been through the brush.
repeat until all that sections dry.
unclip the next layer and put the section into the brush, squash together and pull down using the dryer on the section that’s come out the brush.

the brush replicates the clever round brush drying a hair dresser does without needing to know what your doing, having the co-ordination. Or having the brush cut out your hair when it’s all gone wrong.

I actually don’t have the one I mentioned above, I did. But when that one broke, I replaced it with a cheap Amazon / eBay knock off, it was just the quickest one I could find.

No I can’t manipulate the brush. I’ve got one very similar

I am the same. I got one for Christmas, it’s heavy and I’m obviously doing something wrong as I can’t get on with it

Best I've managed is with babyliss big hair!

No I don’t think it is, and same as above. I’ve just got the revlon one step which is supposed to be good and less hair pully then the BBH
