Quirky maxi dress for wedding?

My head in exploding trying to find the right dress for a wedding in September. Medium sized, fairly formal stately home kind of place, and I will be a witness.

I'm 50, a size 22 and only 5ft 2, but as I will be wearing flats, I would like maxi, or long midi dress. Boho or 70's kind of vibe but not too casual. I'm quite the barrel shape, so things fitted at the waist really don't suit me - an empire type line is best really - nothing that even threatens to highlight my stomach! Not sleeveless, but flappy sleeves would drive me potty!

I like colours and patterns - but I'm not a flowery type. Orange is my favourite colour, or mustard yellows.

I'm trying to find something interesting! And that's proving difficult. Any ideas?!

This one was quite nice - I have huge boobs and it looked a bit weird across the bust on me but if you're smaller of boob it would be better. Smocking in general just doesn't suit me.

Haven't tried this one personally, but as you can see I'm a huge fan of the City Chic brand which I'm pretty sure is a Very own brand. I bought about 5 dresses from them recently and only kept the two from City Chic. They seem to be cut well across the belly which is my problem area.

I liked them too but the ones I would have ordered were out of stock (typical, grrr). So I went to Zuzi instead and spent twice as much 😫(This thread reminded me that I need a dress to wear as a wedding guest in August and I'm now too fat for the one I was planning to wear).

Yes the sitting down pics are good. I hadn't seen them. I've tried not to look too much at their website tbh. I bought a dress already today ( not there). It's for my holidays but I'm waiting until payday to look again 🙈

Just to add I have much bigger boobs that the model (I'm a size 18/20) and it looks good with big boobs :-)

What about the Dancing Leopard Dove dress in Bamboo...goes up to a size 28.
