I just want a plain, white, v neck T-shirt or scoop neck - where have you found decent one?

Thought M and S would be a no brainer for a basic like this but apparently only crew necks are IN this year. Only found one v neck and it was thinner than a Boris Johnson excuse. Need one that isn't clingy too. Please help!

I have four of the COS ones, they wash beautifully.

I bought mine in Next, but I'm long in the body so I don't find it quite long enough.

I’m always looking for the same, OP, but I can never find one where the material is thick enough. I don’t really want my bra on show but some of the tops I look at are so thin that everything shows through.

I looked at Next ones the other day but they’re really thin. I’ve got some older Next t shirts with thicker material but the quality now isn’t as good.

Can anyone confirm if their recommendations are quite thick material?

Amazon essentials. Nice heavy cotton, washes and tumble dries really well, doesn't lose its shape or go grey. (Unlike my hush ones) Last years are still going strong.

Downside, no ethical or otherwise statements. Eco stylist website gives them a v poor score. Given their profit margins and that they already have close to 5% of the global clothing market there's no excuse for this.

Joules also do a decent basics T-shirt when they are bothered to do something classic.
