Hunter Chelsea ankle boots - stylish or naff?

Are these stylish or naff? I can’t decide!!
I would wear them for walks on weekends, autumn winter, with laid back clothes - jeans, baggy jumper, etc.
I can’t decide if they look cool or a bit naff.
help! What do you think?

I have the Holland Cooper version and I do wear them a lot in winter but I live in the sticks, I would wear them to walk dogs, do the horses (but not properly muck out) then do the nursery run and call into the supermarket etc but I wouldn’t say they are particularly stylish but very handy.

Merry people ankle boots might be a good alternative- merrypeople.com/collections/bobbi-wellington-boot

I have a pair from Lidl, which I use purely for dog walking- they are great for that as they don't need to go over my (large) calves. However, I have a pair of muck liberty boots for going out in. Things like dogs walks to pubs, around parks with cafes etc.

Hunters are overpriced and poorly made. Also they've gone bust I believe.

I’ve got a pair of short Hunters …. Not sure if they’re exactly that style. They’re most definitely wellies so I wouldn’t want them on all day. I would feasibly wear them into my office in Central London if it was throwing it down but I would change when I got there. I’d say they’re suitable for nipping to the garden centre or pottering around in wet grass.

I have some for walking the dogs. It hadn't occurred to me to style them with casual wear or think of them as "fashion".
